It’s a false title.
Click bait to make people think Biden mandated it for all Americans.
And most will read it without clicking the thread at all.

It is not that false. Everyone working for a company with more than 100 employees. That is like half of the adult population and most of the poor adult population. Rich people will escape this. It is a bigoted and racist policy, but we all knew Biden was an elite bigot so what did you expect.
The stammering idiot is ripping the country apart...
I am vaccinated but people have the right to decide for themselves.
Liberal Fascists..

That is his plan at least.

408 new COVID fatalities reported in Texas today. I believe that is a record high for Texas. And it is not a reporting issue due to the labor day holiday. Texas reported 286 COVID fatalities yesterday.
I found out yesterday that a guy who used to be a partner at my firm is waiting for a double lung transplant after he spent almost two months in the hospital with a severe case of COVID. He is 55 and went from being the general counsel at a big oil and gas services company to sitting at home needing oxygen 24 hours a day and needing a home health care aid.
My firm had a breakthrough infection last week and it looks like three more people caught it who worked with the guy who had the breakthrough case. The guy with the breakthrough case was going to restaurants and bars and didn't really give a crap.
My firm decided to implement a vax requirement. No one has threatened to quit over it or has requested a medical or religious exemption. Turns out that for many people all the bitching about vaccines is just bitching.
This pandemic has gone too far and taken too many lives. Time to pull out all the stops and get everyone vaccinated.
Yes. Absolutely. Truth.

This is not a vaccine mandate. Nobody is being required to get the vaccine. If people are unwilling make their places of work safe for their colleagues, they are free to leave their jobs and find other forms of work. There are apparently tons of great job opportunities out there that welfare recipients are too lazy to fill, and the federal rule only applies to large employers.
Hence it is a vaccine mandate for poor people who cannot afford to just quit and spend time finding a new job. The policy is bigoted towards poor people. Racist Joe Biden acting more and more everyday like the slave master he has always dreamed of being.

How does this thread, with an abhorrently false title, stay up?
CNN and APNews had similar titles to mine prior to Biden's speech. CNN changed the title and the story after the speech in the link I posted. It never occurred to me that anyone would take offense to the title. It also never occurred to me that I would need a screen capture to prove it. Oh well, APnews still has their original article with the title: Sweeping new vaccine mandates for 100 million Americans
MODS, feel free to change the title to whatever you prefer. This is a very important step in our battle against COVID-19 so the thread should continue, in my opinion.
I'm always fascinated to observe the unintended consequences of well-intentioned actions. This is a BIG move. What will happen? Will businesses avoid the hassle of checking and mandate vaccines? Will businesses make onsite testing available? How with businesses check the weekly test requirement? Will there be lawsuits? If one judge grants an injunction, will it freeze the mandate?
The media is lying as usual, implying that all protestors are anti vaxxers, when in fact, many are vaccinated. These protestors are merely standing up for peoples rights and freedoms.

there were in fact a couple of developments emerging about the same time, hence the confusion.
One was mandating vaccines for federal employees. The other was announcing plans to work out the details for employers of over 100 employees to require them to be vaccinated or get weekly testing. The story you linked to only referenced the former, so one would have to do some digging to see that your title of your thread actually was not too far off.
"Most employees?" I am not sure that that is correct, though.

If you don't want to quit and you don't want to get vaccinated, you can just take a test instead. Drug tests are a routine requirement in many workplaces and I don't see Republicans whining about those. Companies can set their own policies, but the federal government sets the floor on workplace safety regulations. Requiring large workplaces to make sure their employees are protected against a deadly, contagious virus that has killed 650K americans is a reasonable workplace safety measure.
If the COVID death rate were 10%, I don't think anyone would be arguing that the government can't push vaccination requirements. 650K dead americans is, inarguably, an unspeakable disaster, but not quite visible enough to inspire total panic. This has allowed Republicans to spend the entire pandemic downplaying the tragedy/danger and pretending that we can just exercise our way through this. Meanwhile, the bodies (mostly their own followers') keep piling up. It's enough. People do not have a constitutional right to spread deadly contagious diseases in public places, unencumbered. It's time for real solutions. Frankly, it's absurd that it took the administration this long to act aggressively and the "100 employees" threshold is far too lenient.
One possible way to escape this may be to have your employer re-classify you as a contractor. And then you can stay that way until this plays out in the courts and then go full-time again.
Biden is simply not mandating the vaccine for most employees.
And there was no way he was going to make an announcement like that.

Exactly. I’m vaccinated…. but this is leftist totalitarianism and they won’t stop here if they get away with this.
How come all those leftists who say they have a right to kill their babies because it’s their body are supporting the forcible injection of a drug into someone against their will?
Resist Dementia Joe.
Resist the Democrats.

Just 100 million of them.
Unfortunately, contractors don’t get benefits very often, so you’d be paying for med insurance with after-tax dollars from an exchange and lose any retirement matching.
Yeah that's true but with discipline you can still build up your savings. IRA, etc.

Wrong. The government does not have the authority to stick me with medications.
You conveniently left out the part where companies can take the test costs from employees. In essence, they force employees who might already be working minimum wage jobs to pay for nonsense.
