East Africans train harder and have a culture of running. It doesn't hurt at all that they are born and raised and trained at altitude. Gjert Ingebrigtsen has shown what dedicated, smart training can do. Neither he nor his wife were runners but he trained three sons already to be world class (3:28/3:30/3:32; 7:27/7:34/7:35; 12:48/13:10-12?), one of which is the best distance runner on the track in the world at age 20 already, and all of them European champions, two of them medalists at World or Olympics. Culture and training are pretty much everything. Virtually any one of our families could have the same story with the will and motivation. Too bad most first world kids don't have that drive to run!

Indeed. And apart from the fact that the difference in performance between male (or female) persons who have an advantage from their biology in a particular distance is much lower than the difference in performance between male and female athletes in the same distance - i gave before the example of 100m WR against Lemaitre's PB, 200m WR against Mennea's PB, and there are many others also in longer distances - we should not forget the main reason why nobody has ever thought to create dedicated categories for black people, white people, east Africans or others: whoever aspire to become a professional athlete has multiple choices. Based on their talent, will, biology, the place where they're born and other factors, people can chose where to concentrate their efforts to succeed in professional sport. In the contest between male and female (and same between people born 46XY DSD and people born XX), there's no choice simply because testosterone creates the same exact difference in all cases.
