I kind of feel like his night race shot at the American record was a reflection of his view towards the Olympics at Tokyo and the pandemic, of actually making it to the final without testing positive for COVID. I might have done the same thing. What he showed me was he values his relationship with American fans. I can imagine the let down of being in Olympic shape and not being able to run in the finals because of a positive COVID test.
He has a strong mind and is well able to find a positive perspective.
He's a beautiful runner to watch the way he flows over the Earth.
I look forward to watching whatever he runs in the future.
