Total training load sounds silly. Sprinters and marathon runners probably both train as much as they can, but are very different. It’s about the way you train.
how many of the not make your easy miles too fasy guys have ever run as fasy as guys like Ron Clarke and Steve Jones who cranked out fast easy mileage everyday?
I definitely think we did our easy runs too fast in HS( well us 3-7 guys who were trying to keep up with the 2 studs who were 40s faster than us). but by 30s not 2 mins.
