Just gonna plop this down here. Drew Hunter's PRs in same distances:
3000m: 7:39.85[2]
5000m: 13:21.18[2
So it will be Drew Hunter who will be crushing Robert Brandt like a piece of tinman foil!
Brandt comes out of this looking like a total tool, regardless of your feelings about Tinman Elite.

And neither have accomplished anything significant in their pro running careers. Losers all around.
Right, because making the World Championship team or finishing the year as US#2 are not significant.

He made the world championship team like I was the starting WR on varsity after two kids got suspended for pot and another broke his leg.
Let me know when he ACTUALLY qualifies for a team AND makes the final. Until then, he might as well be Robert Brandt.
Can you point me to the list where he’s #2 in any event? I mean, he just got 5th at US champs at his strongest event (5k) in a relatively weak year. His PRs are much slower over 1500/5k than WAY more than two people right now.
So USATF is wrong? He didn’t make the team?
While you are looking that up, look up the 2018 1500m list.

Drew has been living at altitude for years. That makes a huge difference. If Brandt is able to live and train at altitude for a couple years, those times are extremely realistic and in fact it's likely he'll get there.
DREW MF HUNTER GOES HOME DEVASTATED. literally.

"Relatively weak year."
Lomong - 13:00.13 PR, 6x US national champion in various events
Kincaid - 12:58 PR
Chelimo - 12:57 PR, Olympic silver, Worlds bronze,
Not sure we've ever, in history, had a field that stacked at a national championship. Maybe in the Tegenkamp/Lagat/Rupp years when they were all rolling but I don't think we get a crew like that very often. Then add in that also in the race was Hassan Mead (13:02 PR) and Ben True (13:02 PR). Seems pretty stacked to me. I bet if you added the PRs of those five guys, you get a faster total time than any 5 guys to ever compete in a US champioship.
Robert Brandt sounds like a lowlife loser with a very fragile ego who feels the need to drag others down with him. Then he had the gall to double down and claim "it's just a joke bro lighten up hurr durr." What an a$$hole.
I don't give a $hit about what Tinman has or hasn't done. Robert's comment was unnecessary, bizarre, and disrespectful.

Lomong hadn't run 13:00 at that point. (previous best 13:21)
Kincaid hadn't run 12:58 at that point. (previous best 13:12(i) 3 years prior. Pretty weak results up until the point of USAs)
Mead and True's 13:02 were from 2014.
Just good to have the appropriate, accurate context/info of the competitors in the field.
In the comments he got roasted by a 4:23 miler who outkicked him in a 2018 race. Yikes. He can say whatever he wants but no one in an elite field would ever lose to a 4:23 miler LMAO

Lomong's previous best was 13:07i, not 13:21. A real fan of the sport would remember that as it was an American record when he did it. He'd run faster than 13:21 several times. Thanks for the "appropriate, accurate" info.

Rob would be the top runner on a team such as NAU or BYU last track season he was 9th in the 5k at natties and 7th in the 10k at natties, maybe you should do some research first before bc now you sound like a idiot who probably can’t break 5min in the mile
Why are you orally servicing this clown so hard? “Top runner at NAU or BYU” ahaha, okay buddy, he’s gonna get smoked by NAU freshman Nico MF Young next season and it’s gonna be hilarious

Basically it.
And the fact that people around here giving hunter a hard time for responding like a normal person is just further evidence that people are bitter they weren't/ aren't in the cool kids club.

Drew is getting paid a significant amount of money (guaranteed for 10 years right?) to run and post stuff on Instagram. Thats most runners dream scenario. Can’t say I think of him as a loser

Drew Hunter responds like a baby “ Robert Brandt dude. You hurt my feelings. Why do you have to be hateful just to be hateful? Being 100% serious. Regardless of our performances, we’ve done a lot of good for the sport. And I am sad that you can’t see that. Hope you’re happy putting people down. ”
I mean is Robs over the top negative criticism really needed?
Does Drew Hunter have an All-American plaques? I don’t think so

Does Robert have a national title? a top 5 finish even in the NCAA system? Definitely not a comparison between the two.
You guys are so overly harsh on the Tinmen. I appreciate seeing some of the behind the scenes stuff from their videos. You guys act like they do anything different than other professionals. The bowerman track club has been growing their youtube presence a ton over the last two months. No one is bashing them for that.
