Here is my prediction:

12.52
It's going to rain tomorrow and hard winds.
Weather forecast:
possible slight rain, high 20 degrees C., 7 mph wind NE, and 80 % humidity.
Seriously that sounds like some great weather to run in if the showers holds out, the problem may very well be the pacemakers.
he will have excellent pacemakers with tariku and the other ethiopians. i wish him good luck and i am happy that i can follow it life on the tv
What channel is it on?
I was hoping somebody will dig out this thread from the back burner to light, as this is Kenny's thread and today Kenny has already scored another victory (12:40.15).
So it looks like it is gonna be me. So here you have it.
I didn't see the race; however, it sounded as if he had company around 3000m and won by 14 or 15 seconds-what happened? The fact that Kenenisa closed the last 400m in 57.5 of a 12:40.18 5000m tells me with better pacing and weather he's CAPABLE of sub 12:35 this year!
Kenny B is on the track alot more this year than last year. 3000m on the 5th I bet he misses the WR with a 7:23-24.
It would be great if he attempts the world record and if he does and have good weather and pacing I think he could go as fast as 7:22.8 this year.
Nick Willis is after John Walkers 3000m record tonight which stands at 7:37. Hopefully today we get a chance to finally see Kenenisa run a hard 3000m for time (and not just to win) and get a idea how close he can get to Komen's 3000m WR.
I really doubt Bekele will be going for the WR, maybe the Ethiopian national record held by Geb and the win. He's going to be a little tired from that 5k last week and the competition isn't something he can just run away from him either. He'll probably run in the mid7:20s to 7:30.
soon
Another winning streak, tonight too? Can this guy ever give a chance for others to win? Maybe not, especially a million dollar at steak!
The question is will Bekele run all the six goldon league races to win the million dollar?
Thats what I was wondering but Kenenisa Bekele isn't one to race alot and money is an real issue with him.
There are six races (five before the WC and one after) and
and as usual he would go back to training camp to prepare for the games. Also, his own country federation is strict on runners not to go out and run while preparing for bigger meets such as WC.
Some posters are saying Kenenisa doesn't have the speed/ability to challenge Daniel Komen's 3000m WR which is ridiculous. There are two athletes who could break Daniel Komen's WR within 2 years if they altered their training for the 3000m and not 5000m/10000m. Kenenisa Bekele and Augustine Choge are both capable of breaking the 3000m WR and a few athletes like Issac S., Hicham El G (again), Eliud K. and Daniel K. Kipchirchir could all get under 7:25 if that was their primary goal.
As expected Kenenisa is scheduled to run both the 5000m and 10000m at the 2005 World Championships:
10000m Final..Day 3...Aug 8 (Defending Champion)
5000m heats...Day 6...Aug 11
5000m Final...Day 9...Aug 14

What is ridiculous is your sexual attraction to Bekele. Komen ran 3:29 and 3:46. Bekele isn't fast enough. Get over yourself.
he isn;t running the 5000. this has been known for quite a while.
long thread for sure.
