Don't know why the discussion is focusing on Furman, since they don't seem to be a contender this year. Probably in the next year or two from the rumors that they have ten scholarships for both men and women for 800-10K events. Should be able to attract some top talent.
But, looking at past results, Klecker ran 26:08 on the same weekend last year as this year's Pre Nats, so it seems like he is right about the same time. However, last year was at Boone and this year at Louisville so could be some difference. He seemed to improve by almost a minute by SoCon, which was flat and fast and good competition. Maybe he can do it again and put the Paladins (whatever they are) in the upper tier of SoCon. Don't know where you got the 27:30 from.
