eating disorder that is
I think a bunch of posts got deleted in regards to it as these probably will and probably should.
bump it up.
Hm, 5th out of 8, sure sounds OK. However, that's the equivalent of going to Regionals, racing 40 teams, and finishing 25th. Hm, 25th out of 40, pretty crappy. For years U of R has been beaten up by the UAA, a conference with a lot of talented teams. Given how easily you were touched off, I can only assume you're from UR, and that you're probably a frosh or soph. Therefore you probably don't understand the history of UR being at the bottom of UAA, which only has a hope of changing because you have Mark. I'm a big fan of Coach Izzo and Mark, along with a few other UR runners. Maybe my "cellar" comment was too harsh for you. Let me re-prase it, "The only interesting this to watch this weekend is to see if UR can break out and make an impact at UAA." There, that sounds better.
Good house analogy, by the way, I'm sorry I didn't think that one through properly
I wouldn't refer to 25th out of 40 as "the cellar". And rephrasing it as you did does make it a much different statement - one that I fully agree with. Thanks, friend!
ghost of slade, does that mean your PRs are just a ghost of his? or is that an indication that your coaching skills can only hope to shadow his...i know i know...my grammer and spellling obviously mean i went to a suny school other than geneseo..
NYU won tha UAA Championship today with 25points
2 Ryan Williams 25:33
3 Jon Philips 25:37
4 Hany Abadallah 25:38
7 Jesse Schneider 25:42
9 James McCarthy 25:50
(19)Spenser Popeson 26:24
(20)Micheal Dulong 26:25
No other team had 3 finishers in the top 20
How'd UR do?
UR got thumped (sixth of eight) but still ran a competitive race. Stevens won.

UR and NYU women were not competitive.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think UR always finishes towards the end of the UAA, yet the past couple years they still place towards the top of the region. So maybe you can't really judge much based off of this race. I'm not sure though, I don't really follow them that closely.
Oh well, good to see Stevens win though. It'll be tough for Abdallah to win nationals as easily as he'd like if he's only 3rd on his team and 4th in this conference race.
Hey hes got a few weeks.
My new prediction
1) Cortland
2) NYU
3) Geneseo
4) TCNJ
5) RIT
6) SLU
7) Brockport
8) UofR
9) Ithaca
10) RPI
You're crazyyyy if you don't think NYU will run away with it.
NYU run away? Geneseo's top 5 were 5 16 34 36 39 seconds behind Stevens last they raced at Letchworth.
NYU's top 5 were 8 12 13 17 25 seconds behind Stevens.
NYU has the edge over Geneseo sure but not exactly running away with it...then put in a team like Cortland that ran dumb had an off day and still spanked everyone at SUNYACS including Geneseo then mix in TCNJ last year defending champions and if RIT has an on day...I dunno how you can say NYU will run away with it. They may be favored a little over Cortland if that...but its not going to be a blow out.
I i think NYU will win handidly
I think NYU will be right in the mix, but they care much more about that meet 7 days later. Can anyone really tell me what being regional champs means?? Its like the NCAA basketball 1st and 2nd round, its what you do in the finals that matters. Knowing this region will get 4-5 spots, anyone who goes all out at regionals wont have anything left 7 days later to challenge people like Cavin, Lacrosse, and the other top midwest schools.

yeah, no one's ever recovered from a race in 7 days
Here's the CNJ conference results. Interpret what you want from it. Pretty sure it rained in NJ this weekend although I don't know where.

Wow--that's a kinda dominating performance by TCNJ. And if it was run in Saturday morning's terrible conditions, the times won't mean much...
No scholarship limits anymore! (NCAA Track and Field inequality is going to get way worse, right?)
Does not wanting my kids to watch a bisexual threesome at the Olympics make me a bigot?
