The fact that you only care about civilians being killed when you're told to makes YOU morally bankrupt.
People like YOU are the only reason any civilians are dying anywhere. Weak naive men cause ALL wars.
Would that be like the republican-led Iraq war in 2003? There were hundreds of threads on lrc filed with conservatives, like yourself, lecturing liberals about how we needed to "kill them there so they won't kill us here." But then Trump lied about his support the war, and you all washed away the sins.
Looks like Ukraine is doing a good job so far. Russia has had a tough time advancing with armored vehicles. About the only thing the Russians can do well is turn private property into gravel.
Article on what Rogan says about MSM impartiality and Ukraine:
“They [the Left] were very disparaging of Ukraine, and they were talking about the massive corruption of Ukraine, and how horrible it was over there.
And now, all of a sudden, they're looking at it like they're heroes. The same exact people. This is what's confusing.
...we're supposed to just ... veer away ... from the narrative that was being pushed just a couple years ago."
Finally, Rogan talked about how Facebook and other social media are strangely making an exception to their rule about posts promoting violence, if said posts are directed "against Russian attackers."
Let's just acknowledge that once you start quoting Joe Rogan, you've lost the argument.
"President Trump had good reason to be wary of Ukrainian election meddling against his campaign and of widespread corruption in that country." -- Devin Nunes, testifying on day 5 of Trump's first impeachment hearing on Nov. 21, 2019
"We want to make sure that country is honest. It's very important to talk about corruption. If you don't talk about corruption, why would you give money to a country that you think is corrupt?" -- Donald Trump to reporters regarding The Ukraine on Sept. 23, 2019
"Remember, we're talking about Ukraine. One of the three most corrupt countries on the planet." -- Jim Jordan, while appearing on "Face the Nation" on Nov. 17, 2019
So, let's just be honest about who was being "very disparaging of Ukraine, and they were talking about the massive corruption of Ukraine, and how horrible it was over there." and who has veered away "from the narrative that was being pushed just a couple years ago."

Joe Rogan has common sense. This is why leftists hate him. Common sense is like nails on a chalk board to a leftist.

Wait, you were the self proclaimed leftist from the other thread? I’m confused?

Trump didn't lie about supporting the war Howard Stern asked him about it in between fart jokes in 2002.
"Yeah, I guess so," Trump responded. "I wish the first time it was done correctly."
To anyone that isn't a mindless partisan hack that sounds like someone who wasn't all the interested or committed on the subject.
Neil Cavuto asked him about it in January 2003 before the invasion happened:
CAVUTO: So you`re saying the leash on this is getting kind of short here, that the president has got to do something presumably sooner rather than later and stringing this along could ultimately hurt us. TRUMP: Well, he has either got to do something or not do something, perhaps, because perhaps shouldn't be doing it yet and perhaps we should be waiting for the United Nations, you know. He`s under a lot of pressure. He`s - I think he`s doing a very good job. But, of course, if you look at the polls, a lot of people are getting a little tired. I think the Iraqi situation is a problem. And I think the economy is a much bigger problem as far as the president is concerned.
So he said we should get UN approval before we did anything and that the economy was a bigger problem. What a MONSTER!
July 1, 2003: Trump appears on “Hardball with Chris Matthews” and expresses concern about money being spent in Iraq rather than in the U.S.
On Joe Scarborough's show on Sept. 11, 2003 Trump said, "It wasn’t a mistake to fight terrorism and fight it hard, and I guess maybe if I had to do it, I would have fought terrorism but not necessarily Iraq."
On Harball with Chris Matthews on Nov. 4, 2003 Trump said, "The question is whether or not we should have been in Iraq in the first place.”
Dec. 15, 2003: Neil Cavuto of Fox Business interviews Trump two days after the capture of Iraq President Saddam Hussein. Hussein was captured on Dec. 13, 2003, a Saturday when the markets were closed. Trump says Hussein’s capture was a “great thing” for the country, but he mentions that “a lot of people [are] questioning” the wisdom of going to war with Iraq in the first place.
Trump didn't change his opinion on the war. As always the left is just lying and you're repeating a lie you heard some idiot tell somewhere along the way.

Sure thing, triggered. Unlike you, I was a sentient being in 2003. Trump supported the war before he turned against it. The republican party supported the war 100%. Those are the people you are fighting for.

I literally just showed you Trump's comments on the war...
100% of republicans didn't support it there were a few that opposed it. Ron Paul, Lincoln Chaffee and others
A majority of Democrats supported the war as well including Joe Biden.
By your idiot logic you're fighting with the Republicans too since Biden is your boy.
I'm not a Democrat or a Republican.
I voted for George Bush in 2004 absentee from Iraq solely because John Kerry is useless POS. Amazingly, he's actually become even more useless since.
Here’s our boy Adult, described in fancy words. good god it nails him.
One fascinating aspect of this New Right is that it shares a worldview with, of all things, the old hippie left. Two core tenets of New Right ideology are now: The United States is incapable of doing good in the world, and historically has been a force for evil worldwide. Everything that happens in the world is the direct result or responsibility of the United States. The Ukraine situation makes this unlikely contradiction even more evident. The Putin fans among the New Right—in temporary retreat, currently sublimating their views as Ukraine skepticism—really think Russia some anti-woke exemplar worthy of imitation. Never mind that the church-attendance rate in Russia is far lower than the U.S., their birth-rate as low as any childless European country, and their abortion rate one of the highest in the world. Seen from the “trad” conservative perspective at least, Russia suffers from all the ills of post-modernity even more than the supposedly degenerate West.

So you voted for the Iraq war to continue in 2004 and all of the dead civilians that resulted from 2005-2009? And now you are supporting Putin and all the dead civilians he is murdering? I guess there is actually some consistency in your logic.

Martinez is an imbecile only capable of impressing other imbeciles.
Naturally, you were sucked right in.
Anyone who labels George W. Bush as a "small government conservative" is too stupid to be taken seriously.
well whudevah - he describes you perfectly. Esp why you lean toward excusing russia and blaming the US. You and the 1960s hippies - simpatico! You should move to Berzerkeley or Boulder and hang!

My concerns: 1) Can Russia keep resupply going enough to break UKR's will?
2) Will China supply them on the back end with the yuan?
3) How can we protect the humanitarian convoys in a way that does not involve NATO directly?
4) Is Putin a legit Nuke threat or is he just saber-rattling to get leverage at the negotiation table?
5) How come his security forces deporting everyone have not felt the sanctions like others in Moscow? Nobody on the civilian side has been able to step up and defeat his security forces.
I have not seen reliable reports of what caused the fire, but a reasonable assumption is arson.
Are you suggesting that a secret band of Nazi ninjas snuck past hundreds of Russian soldiers and set the ship on fire? Or that it was a disgruntled Russian sailor that decided to tell Vlad to piss off? One suggests an even greater degree of Russian military incompetence than any of us previously thought possible and the other suggests a greater degree of disillusionment in their leadership than previously suspected (and I recently read an unconfirmed report of a Russian solider intentionally running his commander over with a tank).
The Russians are still very dominant in arty and massed fires, that's the one advantage they have right now.
