Had a relaxing 80' jaunt through the next town today. Things have warmed up a bit and it was nice to spend some quality time out there today.

Treadmill - 30:00 at ~133BPM
Hey Rundog I miss those days ehen you used to write your times for each session; For instance that 8x800m average 2:03 with 45sec rests, which got deleted for some really mysterious reason. How come ya don't put the times down anymore, he asked, not expecting an honest answer.?
Merry Xmas.
4 miles in the morning on a treadmill
10 miles on the country backroads in cold wind and rain but with an overall temp of about 55F.
Temperatures have moderated a bit making things much more pleasant. I'm getting ready for 50' tempo today. Should be fun!
(EmCee: I have been including my times. The 80' means 80 minutes, etc. Tell us about your running.)
Happy Holidays, all!
Aw, Rundog. No times for the 8x1200 then? ;)
OK how about this?...What can I run for 5k if I do 2 sets of 4x800m with 45sec between reps, starting 2:06 down to 1:59?
Discuss.
Yesterday:
60 min easy. It's the longest run I've done in months. :)
We'll try something longer next week.
Today:
Hip is doing great. 30 min easy.
DYRT, no 1200s today. That was last week!
Just finished the tempo. What a great day! Blue sky, quiet roads, nice temps,....it was very refreshing.
Have a great Christmas!

Those 1200s were run at a bit over 100% vVO2max. My coach has the actual times in her log, but I won't see her again for a few days. Sorry.
As for your 5K, I'm not going to make a prediction. There's just not enough information. Sorry again. If Skuj was still around here he might offer you an idea, but I wouldn't put too much stock in it. Good luck with your 5K!
Aw, Rundog. No times for the 8x1200 then? ;) You have no idea? Can't remember?
OK how about this?: Do you confirm or deny that you once posted that 8x800m workout and asked how fast you can race 5k based on it. SIMPLE QUESTION. (If you lie (again) and deny it, I'll stop bugging you. At least some of us with memories will get a good laugh. If you confirm it, I'll have more questions! ;) )

I've done lots of workouts, including some with repeat 800s, but I don't recall the specifics of each one. As I said, my coach keeps track of those things in her training log. Why not just search the forum to see if such a workout was posted. I'd do it, but I've got to go tie up a few loose ends before the holiday.
Merry Christmas!

O that's good; not an obvious flat out lie but a very well worded one. YOU KNOW IT'S DELETED. So again just for fun: Did you post 8x800m, 2:06 to 1:59 and ask how fast you can race 5k? YES OR NO!
45' easy + 6 striders
Ladies and Gentlemen, Merry Christmas.
yesterday: rest (if that's what you call the day before christmas)
Today: biking, quick 30 mins easy, more biking.
And a very Merry Christmas to you, the point, and to all of the other thread contributors. I hope you all have a happy and safe holiday.
No run today; too busy with the festivities and family obligations. I'll be back at it tomorrow.

What % of them is B.S.?
1.5 miles easy to warm up, then 3 x 1600 at Tempo pace (~6:43) with 1:10 jog rest, followed up with a 1.5 mile cool down. Beautiful day in Central Ohio, though I realize it doesn't seems physically possible. Seeing the sun in December around here is like catching a glimpse of flying pigs.
56' today....recent history: calorie intake > calories burned. I see no change through the next holiday. I'm in trouble.....
nice little step work out:
today, very, very humid. In the park, 8mins progressive, 5mins tempo, 2 mins fast. Fourtimes, 60mins total. Warmdown. Fresh and easy.
