If the Agent in Charge, Engel, testifies on camera it’s likely to be a disaster for Trump. The arm grab is irrelevant. In “refuting” the arm grab the agent has already corroborated that Trump knew the mob was armed and that he wanted to accompany them to the Capital. He also already stated that Trump did have a temper tantrum in the vehicle when told he couldn’t go. So, the agent will paint a very unflattering image of Trump and he will confirm the central elements of the story relevant to criminal charges, ie, Trump knew the mob was headed to the Capital to obstruct the proceedings, Trump knew the mob was armed and there was a potential for violence, Trump wanted to accompany this mob.
Agent Engel would have been aware of all the relevant intelligence related to the mob’s intention and he would be responsible for informing the chief of staff and the President. It’s reasonable to argue he should be exempted from testifying because his communications with the President should continue to be privileged. If an agent can be called to testify about presidential behavior, then it could damage his ability/secret service’s ability to protect the President, any President. You don’t want a President “hiding” from his agents. That makes some sense. However, if Hutchinson’s testimony leads to the Agent being called and the secret service agreeing to his testifying, it’s BAD for Trump. The agent knows what went down and his testimony will be unimpeachable by Trump world. Trump may have not grabbed him, but everything else and more about the story will be confirmed.
“According to a report from CNN, White House officials are "losing confidence" that Ukraine will be able to retake all the territory Russia has captured since it invaded on February 24 as Russian forces continue to make gains in the eastern Donbas region. Unnamed US officials told CNN that President Biden’s advisors have started debating if and how the US should start convincing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky should change his definition of what "victory" will look like.”

GTFO troll, this has nothing to do with the topic of this thread
The J6 committee would have been wise NOT to address Trump's temper tantrums and 2nd hand testimony regarding his behavior in the Beast. Of course, this is the only thing you will hear about on far right media regarding yesterday's hearing.
The J6 committee got more than enough to deal with for Trump's knowing some of his supporters were armed (and welcoming that fact), Trump's disregard for Pence's safety, and Trump and Meadows "playing fiddles while Rome burned before them" on their TVs and phones while their lawyers, family members and media allies were screaming at them to call off the goons storming the Capitol.

Igloi is an very emotional person, unconstrained by posting norms and conventions. Sometimes he can't help but let the whole wide world know how much he loves Russia! Don't squelch his love, rather nurture it. He is but a child of the moon, the stars, the universe!
Here is a bit of insight for the Trump coup minimizers.
It is not necessary for the coup planners to openly acknowledge and state publicly that they are executing a coup d' etat to subvert an election and stay in power. They don't send out a formal press release that a coup will be happening on this date. In fact, throughout history every single coup that occurred had a wannabe, authoritarian, despot just like Trump that also refused to call what he was doing a coup. Instead they use all kinds of BS to convince their devout followers how it is a crime and injustice that they are not in power and they need to take action and fight, fight fight. Just like Trump did.
Stop believing what Trump is telling you about what he did and why he did it, and look at the facts.

Kudos to Cassidy Hutchinson, a very brave woman.
On the flip side. If the Secret Service agents refute her testimony, it throws into doubt all of her testimony, which is about half of their "Case". It would basically paint her as the office gossip, presenting rumors and half overheard conversations to which she was not a party to as fact.
You have about as much chance of Cheney calling both Trump’s driver & Secret Svc to testify under oath that Trump never attempted to grab the steering wheel as you do of Cheney calling Pelosi & Bowser to testify under oath they never turned down Trump's request for Nat'l Guard

What are your thoughts on Liz Cheney's long-game? Feels like she's positioning herself for future power through all this, -like her father would. Like she took a page from his playbook (surviving the downfall of Nixon, recovering in the shadows, then building power quietly and slowly over 2 decades).
Are you capable of coming up with your own opinions? Or do you always just regurgitate stuff you see on social media. GTFO if you don't have anything of substance to contribute
The scene that fateful day is almost too much to envision. Trump throwing spaghetti with ketchup sauce at the walls, this clown lawyer Giuliani staggering around drunk stinking up the place, some jagoff decides to play Cats music over the Oval Office sound system, Secret Service goons defying orders, fax machine printing incoming requests for pardons every 10 minutes, Kimberly Guilfoyle proving white people can't dance to 70s disco. It's like a goddam Tarantino movie.

She has a great future as a lib media talking head on MSNBC or CNN. Her political career representing WY is OVER.

How would they refute her testimony? She never claimed the event in the SUV actually happened. She stated that someone told her it occurred.
It seems unlikely that the witness, who was being advised by a lawyer, would go in front of a Congressional committee under oath and recite an account she just made up out of thin air.
Leave it to you to have the dumbest take possible. Cheney is not a liberal. She is simply making a bet on a post Trump GOP. Signs of that are already happening. Trumpism was sound rejected in Nearby Colorado yesterday. Even your boy DeSantis doesn't need Trump anymore.
Going to be funny to see you sad pathetic dejected losers still wearing m a g a hats and barechested Trump T-shirts in a few months.

In WY she is. She will get destroyed in her primary next month. Again, her political career is over in WY politics.

The news accounts are fairly clear across the media spectrum. The agents may dispute that Trump grabbed the wheel and the neck of the agent in charge, but they will be confirming the really damning facts that Trump knew the mob was 1) armed, 2) that the intention of some of the mob was to disrupt the electoral vote count and 3) that Trump wanted to go with them. That’s all you need to indict him. They will also say he had a hissy fit in the car even if he did not physically contact the agent. Trump world is going to be devastated if Agent Engel testifies. They can use all of their disparaging and misogynistic tricks to degrade Hutchinson, but with Engel….what are they going to say?
This is a verified photo of Hutch dancing suggestively with an unidentified female. Just exactly how did Hutch pay her way through college? That was never asked at the insurrection hearing.
There are rumors that Hutch was a confidant of Raphael "Ted" Cruz who has a serious axe to grind with Trump over the alleged ugly wife brouhaha. What exactly did Hutch and Cruz discuss? That was never asked at the insurrection hearing.

"Trump didn't get into the Presidential Limo (often called "The Beast" in the media), he got in an SUV, meaning the story can't possibly be true.
Dan (Bongino) also pointed out that Hutchinson recalled secret service agent Tony Ornato as telling her that the "president got in The Beast," but that no Secret Service agents call the Presidential Limo that."
"Hutchinson said that she heard from Tony Ornato, then-White House deputy chief of staff, that the former president became incensed when he wasn't allowed to go to the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. He is alleged to have grabbed at the steering wheel of the vehicle and then lunged at the agent who was preventing him from leaving.
Later on Tuesday, that Secret Secret agent reportedly said he was willing to testify that this account was false. Ornato also indicated the same willingness to testify contrary to the story.
The woman lied and you fell for fake news. Take the "L" and enjoy your loss.

The rats are jumping ship.
The Washington Examiner has abandoned Trump now. This is a major development. This is a harbinger of things to come over the next few weeks.
Former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson’s Tuesday testimony ought to ring the death knell for former President Donald Trump’s political career. Trump is unfit to be anywhere near power ever again.
