does anyone wanna start a psac xc ritual involving all athletes smoking at least one cig as they warm up for psac champs. this will truly show who is the most fit, as it will test whose lungs can withstand the most torment

How’s the Conference looking this year? Any big results for the early season?

Weak...Very down year it looks like.
Its a festival year, cool it.
Either every school in the PSAC was doing a workout at Paul Short or this is a down year. Ship 1 guy under 26? Very strange.
does edinboro suck and is geehrer hurt????
Anyone have anything to say about PSAC Champs? I know the conditions were terrible, and boro ran at home, but what does everyone think about the results? I'm not too surprised considering everything. Think Ship will do better at 10k and in Pittsburgh, but we'll see how boro will do as well. What happened to Moser, Ship?

Moser being a giant alcoholic caught up to him. Strong coming into form at the right time seemed to save them.
Of greater interest to me is how the hell ESU did so poorly.
Can anybody here with duathlon experience tell me how to become a world class athlete? I really want to upgrade my Strava clout and get more likes on my Instagram pictures. I've heard it's really hard to become a world class athlete but I was hoping I could become one ASAP.
Go home bud, nice try. World class athletes are rare.
PSAC, Y U so weak nowadays?
The mighty PSAC has officially fallen. This weak-ass conference is trash, and plan old GARBAGE. Only one team going to nationals on the men’s side. 32:36 is all-conference on Lock Haven’s course. What a joke. That was like the average time of a 6-7 place team 4 years ago. Times have been getting slower every year. Only 7 guys under 32. You used to have to under under to be all-conference. Even SHIP blows nowadays.
The course ran slow. A 14:17/29:36 guy won in 31:06 and it was really muddy. I agree that it’s garbage that only one team is going to nationals but times from one day aren’t really a fair way to assess cross country performance

Yeah...no. This race was not a one race anomaly. The guy that won did it from the front with a sizable lead from start to finish. The PSAC has been in decline for years, the results from all meets show this, not just the regional meet.
Seriously, what the hell has happened to this league? It seems like almost across the board, every single program is significantly weaker than it was 10 or even 5 years ago.
Ive heard the school system overall isnt doing well. I could see issues with courting talent if thats the case.
Anyone know if theres truth to this?
Ship's XC starting lineup is almost all freshman this year with some strong talent. It's gonna be interesting to see what they can do over the next 3 years.

I'm not sure if there have been changes recently, but in terms of bang for your buck I think the state system is as good as it gets in PA. I know some programs have suffered due to limited funding/cut programs on the men's side, but it just seems like everyone aside from Edinboro has taken several steps back.
