I'm thinking of trying the infamous DANCAN system (by myself) once I'm done with being an competitive runner, just to try it out while not harming anyone. The basics is the 20x400 with rest back to 120 bpm, the few distance runs done fairly quick at ''exact indivudual pace'', another day of threshold (is the 20x400 the VO2Max workout?) and what more? Don't remember the program exactly.

I don't know.
I just coach some runners at same track as Josphat use.

Hello JohnnyS! Why don't take the chance to guaranteed improve when you still is competitive? My great DANCAN system has so far improved every runner gone into it, so you will of course develop too.As I told so,so many times real magic doesn't excist of course, but the results of the system so far to runners at all levels all over the world makes the system to look like real magic. If you are a 4 min miler/ 3:45 1500m runner I can even maybe coach you for free. You are welcome! 🇸🇪🧙🏼♂️🇸🇪🖐🙏

If I remember correct, and I still usually do, you are a countryman to me? Why don't let me coach you now when still competitive? When you aren't anymore it's too late to see if the Dancan magic could have get you faster than ever. It's up to you of course.... 🇸🇪🧙🏼♂️🇸🇪🖐

It's really magic that you turned a 1:02 guy into an athlete that couldn't compete with the best women nowadays.

Jan's system should be fine for a recreational runner. Pretty much anything that has a mix of paces and adequate mileage would be fine. So sure, give it a try (hopefully you're not considering giving that guy any money).
For an elite, no way. Jan's had one elite work with him so far -- Sammy Nyokaye. That has not gone well for Sammy, and he never followed Jan's system closely anyway. Sammy always ran much higher mileage than Jan advises.
Be forewarned, though -- even recreational runners have not had good luck with Jan. At least not the ones that are best known on this forum. If you've followed the forum for a while, you may already know the results that Phil and Slava had with Jan. Not good. Jan may have had some recreational runner successes outside this forum, but his record here has been poor.

You never give up producing alot of untrue claims about me and my great coaching.I often sit at my couch chuckle at all the BS you pruduce here.
You and mostly 2 others here have been harrasing me now soon 9 years.......you guys seems to have a factory where you spit out different handles all the time. You seem to have this as a fulltime job and a mission to blacken my magic coaching. Nothing of this you told in this your post is true. 🇸🇪🧙🏼♂️🇸🇪

Maybe you should've considered that before you spent years sh*tting up every single training thread on this forum with your nonsense. You act like a clown so now you get the circus treatment.

Jan, exposing your lies is public service, not harassment.
Your coaching is not magic. Your coaching has produced, from the examples we have been able to follow, 1 good result; René.
What the watcher wrote is true, so you are lying again.

Jan, go away. You are not wanted here. You are not liked. You were, in the beginning. People thought you were just an eccentric guy from Sweden. You are now nothing but a nuisance. Jan, you are like a hemorrhoid. Who likes having to deal with a hemorrhoid on a daily basis?
Go away. You really are like an unfunny clown. Go.
this is just so sad and pathetic at this point. JS you aren't a coach. you're an insane pathological liar. you humiliate yourself to such an insane degree i think most people pity you
