O'Sullivan will giggle right past her. She wasn't even trying when she pulled away from Tuohy.
To be fair, if you watch the race slowed down it's very clear that O'Sullivan cut Tuohy off on the curve breaking her stride. It probably cost Tuohy .3-.5 seconds to adjust. As it was, by the time Tuohy regained her stride O'Sullivan was already .3 ahead or so. O'Sullivan clearly had some left in the tank and she may have won anyway, but impeding her competitors certainly didn't hurt.
Tuohy should have defended her spot better to force O'Sullivan into her own lane on the straight.
You are right. Over Hyped is what she is. A few Women at this meet are running WR times and she is not in that league? But her fans think she is.
There are plenty of threads for you to celebrate the recent WR in the 1500m.... not a single runner in the US can run 3:49. Tuohy is a US runner with fans. Maybe head to one of those threads?
Weather.com saying 91°, 50% humidity, feels like 97° at 8pm
10 pm is the time to be concerned about. The 1500 will be be over and done before the heat is a problem. But for those doubling they will have to get their body temperature back down among other things. The 5000 could be a tough race for everyone. Take water early and often.

You don't think the 1500m will be a challege if it feels like 97°? Its not exactly the 100m dash... I wonder if the heat will cause it to become a joggfest

Wear an ice vest before the race and drink Pedialyte. Too much water can cause sodium imbalance. I remember some discussion about this during US Olympic Trials in 2021 when it was ridiculously hot in Eugene of all places.

Did you think it was ever going to be anything but a jogfest?

That is true the water can basically remove sodium from your system

How much effect does a hot day have on a mile race? I mean, obviously the times may be a bit slower, but for someone running 4-5 minutes, is it really that big of a deal?
For someone who is allegedly all hype she has done pretty well. I'm pulling for her.
Me too! She has a ton of experience toeing the line with a bunch of women who are gunning for her. She can handle this.
I am a middle age woman who loves running but never had any real talent. Today, I am shamelessly living vicariously! I have informed my family that this evening they are on their own. There are hot dogs in the fridge, and if anyone needs me I will be on the couch screaming my head off. I have made a note to put my Garmin on charge so that I don't have the annoying relax warnings. I really hope she gets this! Either way, it is going to be a good night of track!
