If you just want to talk off the cuff, many vaccinated are not bothering to test either, or if they do it's an at-home test, and even if positive nobody gives a darn and it is officially recorded anywhere. Talk about some cherry picking.

Yes, positive tests has always been a challenging statistic to interpret, especially in locations that don’t do a lot of monitoring, although we can be confident that percent positives on tests exceeds percent positives in the population(almost all of this effect being due to people getting tested due to feeling sick, not for monitoring purposes)
Positive tests in hospitalizations, icu stays, and deaths is much more reliable
