You sound like a Republican. Fact of the matter is that it’s much harder to accumulate wealth as a young person today than it was when you were a lad. Don’t worry about me though. I’ll be fine. I have a plan that involves working way more than 40 hours a week, but I’ve been blessed with wonderful parents and a good brain. Others aren’t so lucky
most data show that millennials and younger are doing just fine in terms of financial health, tracking with or above the previous generations.
The media always wants you to believe things are worse, but they aren't.
Anyway, 2/3 of Americans own stocks. That's a pretty good number. You'll always have a good amount that refuses to do the smart thing.
Not hard to accumulate wealth. Do what you can do and invest $10k index funds. Over the next 10 years keep investing and you will be set for life.

you got caught either lying or being unwisely confident and ignorant on NATO spending demands.
would be so great for your masochism to admit you f'd up - you'd enjoy the moment.
So you post an article which destroys your claim and then declare victory.
lol....
you are wild, man
you claimed obama never talked about nato - but you are such a terrible writer that I have to guess that you meant that he didn't ask nato member states to spend more on defense.
I prove you wrong with two of many articles. That you were ignorant of despite 10 seconds of googling would have found for you.
that's the story. Go away.
You lost.
you got caught lying - or being embarrassingly ignorant.

Biden is literally carrying water for Hamas because he knows it will help him win Michigan.
Neocons like John Bolton who think we need to invade every country on earth and stay forever to make themselves rich are the ones who were unfit for office.
John Bolton is just one person. Almost the entire cabinet of Trump and his VP refuse to support his presidency. Many are speaking out about his total unfitness to serve.
Yes, this same unfitness we see on display every single day from Trump. Like posting Nazi stuff this morning and blaming someone else for it then deleting it.

It’s not the media. It’s statistics. We are not doing better than previous generations. I get that you guys are all ancient and don’t know what it’s like, but look at what’s happened to home prices in the last 5 years and tell me it’s not become a huge hurdle for young people looking to buy. Let’s start there

dude
you graduated college into an unemployment rate of 4%. Which is insanely low. You all could get actual jobs.
Wages are going up all the time. You have lived all your working lives through probably the best economic time in American history
Whereas Xers graduated into 6,7,8% unemployment, 4-5% inflation was considered fine and normal, US corporations were downsizing massively, etc. I was told at my elite college that there would be no corporate jobs in the future so go find some small company. There really wasn't any 'corporate recruiting' for other than economics majors. Just imagine that in contrast to the jobs bonanza for all college grads these days.
Sure, buying a house in population centers is more expensive than in the past. So rent and invest the difference until mortgage rates come down
The rent and invest model has done great. Of course stock market returns have been among the best in history for you - 15% per year for 15 years or so.
Millennials are doing quite well.

How much did that college cost to attend?
don't start with that
only rich people pay full freight on college so broad comparisons of college costs are moot.

No I said, "Obama didn't say a word about NATO until after his coup in Ukraine resulted in Russia seizing Crimea. He completely ignored Russia and then had an "oh sh*t" moment AFTER he screwed up just like Biden did."
And then you posted a link to an article which supported my statement.
Then you felt stupid for being wrong so you invented the strawman that I said Obama "never" talked about NATO.

This isn’t hard.
Bolton is a carbon copy of a neocon. There were dozens of them in the Trump administration.

You're a liar and a fool.
you say 'Obama didn't say a word about Russia'
but I showed you Obama, like Bush2 and Trump, pushed nato nations to spend more on defense. NATO is primarily meant to defend against Russia.
I dunno you are such a terrible writer and you have no morals so it's hard to tell when you are just writing poorly or lying.
So not much, right? Even half tuition now is probably in the range of ten times the amount you paid? Maybe more?
it's all skewed because of financial aid and depends if we're talking public or private and what inflation rate you use...
I’m not sure that it matters how you skew it. It’s much higher now. Average debt at graduation is something like 30-40k. Several hundred a month for ten years isn’t a small setback. If the glorious GME didn’t save me, I’d still be paying mine and that was with my parents contributing heavily. I’m not complaining about this for myself. I’m totally fine. Very lucky, very fortunate. I will be fine, but my generation absolutely has a right to complain. We are not better off than generations previous

Average student loan debt kids graduate with today is comparable to what I graduated with thirty years ago for a similar education when adjusted for inflation. One thing people don’t discuss is people have fewer kids than they had thirty or fifty years ago, so parents have more ability to find their kid’s education than ever before. Heck, some kids today spend more on their cellphones than I spent on food when I was in college.

The middle class doesn't qualify for most of the financial aid.
We can add paying for college to the gigantic list of things you know f*ck all about.
"Middle-class families today don’t make nearly enough money to afford full college tuition. In fact, many qualify for a significant amount of need-based financial aid."
