gente, no, never saw those. Pretty neat.
Of the three, Mick Ronson was the most in the style I like. His guitar playing for Bowie and Mott the Hoople have kept me enamored for like ever, And of the three, he was the first to go, and by a long shot.
What really gets me about the aging rocker is seeing videos of them performing in their later years. Chris Cornell, Iggy, Mark Lanegan, and others. You see them struggling to hit the notes and the phrasing. But then you go back and watch vids of them in their prime and it adds this element of sadness with the realization that their brief moment on the stage in their peak- how magnificent they were and how fleeting it is. Of course, they could never have known that when they were young and up there on the stage, but something about the defiant rocker and their dominance, only to weather the draining effects of aging, inevitably, and undeniably. I don't know. It just adds a whole other level to the performance and their incredible attainment, however briefly.
Oh, well.
Yeah, it's cold up here, but it's really not so bad. I've managed to get a run in on almost every day. It's starts warming up this weekend,
I remember Barton Springs from a couple of trips. Hey, talk about a music scene!
Enjoy.
