Probably worth noting that if you plug Boise's speed ratings from the Cardinal Classic into the Caldwell Twilight, Rocky Mountain girls win the meet 49 to 61.
The Boise boys team would win it 54 to 65 over Rocky. Putting Landon in as second (Stadtlander is the real deal, he would have done the same thing to Landon that he did to Cody Lucas) would have shifted the score to 51 to 59 in favor of Rocky.
This would be better in the Idaho thread, and despite my generally being a huge fan of the speed ratings, I think he got the Cardinal Classic dramatically low. As much as 5-6 pts low.
Boise girls will beat RM at state by a large margin. On a flat course assuming he recovers fully from his injury at BB, Landon will beat Stadtlander by a large margin, but Boise boys will be tough for RM to beat up unless Rocky’s 3-5 improve a lot, which they might do.
It’ll be interesting to look back at the CC and Caldwell speed ratings after Bob Firman and see whether RM’s ratings at Caldwell or Boise’s at CC seem more accurate.
