Some people suggested that only would this be possible if the OP's office were a fitness or outdoors oriented company, but I think it's also possible if it's simply a high paying company (I realize he's already clarified that he works for the federal government). While working at top law firms, investment banks, or consulting firms may not be conducive to peak physical fitness, those people are type-A enough to work out semi-regularly and not be fat. They have the resources to buy a Peloton and eat expensive salads. Being healthy and reasonably fit is a class marker, and running a low-6 mile is what you'd expect from someone who isn't overweight and is somewhat active.
