1) Just because someone is slower than someone else doesn't mean they don't have the right to criticize someone.
"If this is true, I want the track measured" is not criticizing. Thats not saying "he shouldve taken the lead at USA". That's you trying to talk $hit and take something away from someone who has worked infinitely harder than you ever did in college. Criticizing is one thing, but to call someone trash or imply they had to cheat to get a time when THEY WOULD LITERALLY LAP YOU TWICE is retarded. Its like the guy who gets his ass kicked the one fight he actually gets in and then still acts tough. Like ok guy.
Not to mention just stupid. You really think the Nike-built track, used for a lot of BTC and NOP workouts AND during the breaking2 project, is short? You really think they'd sacrifice alllll of the other things they do on that track so that 3-guys could run a faster time in a no-stakes time trial like a decade after they built it?
The track is lumpy and primarily used for workouts where precision is not critical. It is not Monaco or another signature venue. Unless I’m mistaken it has not been used for competitive races. Does anyone know of another time it has been certified? I have never seen the Michael Johnson track IRL but from videos and photos it looks like it would be a nightmare to resurface and maintain.
If this time trial had been held on any other track where runners actually compete, whether it be high school, college, etc., there would be virtually no doubt about its legitimacy.
