Thunder Road Running
Chase Easterling. Ronner of moderate+ ability who works really hard. Maps out his training and a few of his races. Really genuine kid who loves his sport
Chicken Boy Morgs the funniest
I like scullion's stuff, the marathon runner.
There are so many good ones, I just type in a topic and get heaps of good info (I hope).
Athlete Special is the best running channel by far
Followed by Seth DeMoor. End of discussion distance nerds
The Fogg Dog himself
I'm working on a channel of my own, and I'd like to know what you all want to see in a running channel - what do you guys like, dislike, etc. Also, feel free to share some video ideas, I'd love to hear them!
Butter my bobos, the answer is obvious!
no contest. takes on all the strava hero and influencer crap.
Nobody cares about your 400 subscriber YouTube channel.
I though Run free would be my fav, but lately less Ryan Hall = less interesting. Sage is prob unequaled for education for new/mid runners. For news? Those Citius dudes seem to get the best bits. But only bits.
Imagine being TRP-affiliated and astroturfing this thread four years ago...
After watching a TRP video you can be assured of the following:
1) You already saw it live when it happened and learned nothing new from the video.
2) If TRP tried adding something it's likely misinformed.
3) It's just hype and rehash. Every runner has their fans and every nation has their heroes, and once your channel reaches critical mass you can just pump out the same rehashed and hyped sh*t about today's hot athlete/talent and get enough views for it to be worthwhile. There isn't exactly much competition.
For pro running there are a few categories available:
1) Official production footage / TV broadcast.
2) First hand interviews with athletes from media organizations.
3) Invitational/collabs. Content creator spends time with athlete to produce videos usually centered around the athlete's day/session/meet-prep.
4) Athletes' own channels.
...
5) Rehashed hypesh*t based on 'creative commons use' of the other categories.
