I’m confident in saying that Nuguse is the next stud 1500/5000 guy for the US after Fisher.
He's going to win U.S.A's next year and medal in the 1500m. He has a nasty lean and a ridiculous last 40 meter close.
NOO

Clearly something wrong.
Bummed too, but Morgan’s has his number all year. Tough for Fisher to go out his whole senior year with no titles but he’s just been outclassed in every championship.
52.9 easing up massively last 10 meters. What a last lap from McDonald
McDonald simply on another level in terms of closing speed. The beautiful and powerful stride length and cadence he has is just too much for grant.

Too slow.
Robert Brandt finishes 9th. Would have been amazing to see him squeak out another all american performance, but this dude has had an incredible under-the-radar career so far. Does he still have eligibility left?
Holy hell, McDonald looked like an absolute machine. Could hardly keep from passing Fisher on the final curve and powered away down the homestraight with not even an ounce of strain. Extremely impressive.

Maybe he should try running a little faster instead of jogging the first 11 laps.
Ratcliffe slipped into 3rd there, he sure is an intriguing prospect. Sometimes you watch guys and they just ooze talent
My predictions for the men's Bowerman finalists:
Divine Ododuru
Morgan McDonald
Grant Holloway
I feel bad for grant. I was rooting for him. He’s got a great disposition and I hope he doesn’t let coming up short so much get to him. Great race for his teammate in third.
BYU impressive as well with their two guys coming back from the 10k
NAU has been underperforming this whole meet

McDonald's pr is 15sec faster than Grant's. You really think Fisher is gonna drop him from the front? He got the jump on him, closed in 53, and still lost. McDonald is just better.

Solid prediction.
Finish order:
1. Holloway
2. McDonald
3. Ododuru

Well Grant did run 4 years straight which is very rare these days. He could have done what Morgan did and taken this season off and come back next year ready to dominate without Knight or McDonald.
The really intriguing thing about the race was Ratcliffe in 3rd. With him, Fahy, Ostberg, and Parsons they have a great top 3 this fall. Makes you wish Grant had red shirted an XC season at some point.
Track and Field News says Holloway split 43.74 on the anchor for Florida! So sub-38 in the 4x1, sub-13 in the hurdles and sub-3:00 in the 4x4.

That would be four, not three (assuming Fahy gets a thumbs-up on his petition). And they've got a lot of depth behind that.
