Wrong. I insulted you in exactly one post. I'm happy to do it again though. You're an idiot *
Wrong. Clearly I went out of my way to look some of this nonsense up, by the fact I posted two links to reasoned arguments. Did you see them?
Wrong. How can you know whether I refuse to do research or not? Only if I state that I won't, or if I consistently fail to show evidence of research in response to repeated requests. Clearly I've done neither, but please show me evidence otherwise. Oh, evidence, sorry, not a strong point of the planar planet community.
The previous threads? On letsrun? I wasn't aware this had been discussed here before, but you seem to be. Why would I know about previous threads unless they're linked to in this one? Are you mixing me up with someone else?
There are no previous threads, that is a lie to fool the people and keep them in a subservient torpor. No-one has shown any credible evidence of previous threads, and what "evidence" there is is clearly faked. Have you seen them with your own eyes? Even if you have, it was a hallucination created by government mind control. #previousthreadslie
No I don't. You do. The explaining has all been done, the physics and maths all worked out. It's all out there. The Earth is round. If you disagree with established facts, the onus is on you to prove them wrong. And not just by saying physics is all made up and there's no such thing as maths.
When Einstein thought up relativity, that was a flat earth moment. He saw how the established picture of nature was wrong, and set out to prove his alternative idea described reality better. He didn't prance around on Youtube going "I reckon Newton was wrong, there's no absolute frame of reference, time is relative - but anyway, now, scientists, YOU have to prove to me Newtonian mechanics is true. Prove it, but not using any measuring instruments that can be faked or fancy mathematics that's only theory, prove it using only your own eyes and nothing else. And if you can't, then I get to claim I'm right". No, he worked away on his idea without, as far as I'm aware, posting to letsrun about his amazing idea when he was only halfway through, and when he'd completed his theory with all the workings out and everything, only then did he submit his idea to experiment, whereupon it passed with flying colours and the world agreed he was right, and here we are using relativity to do GPS and things. Have you heard of him by the way? Albert Einstein, you'd like him. But you won't have got this far in this paragraph or will already have posted "tl/dr", so never mind.
No, I don't, I really don't.
Like Islam and many other nonsensical beliefs. Growing popularity from a miniscule base does not imply correctness, or validity. Or wisdom. Or intelligence. It does imply fanaticism and herd behaviour though. Baaahh.
If I cared, I would ask you to justify your claim it's growing exponentially, in the strict mathematical sense, as opposed to just "growing". But I don't care if it is or not so I won't.
"Converts"? This is sounding more religous by the minute.
You seem to be trying to validate the pancake planet theory by popularity. "Growing", "new converts". Well, if you weigh the truth of an idea by its popularity, as you seem to be trying to do for earth flatness, then shouldn't you be in the globe earth camp? That's got many more believers in it, really, way more. So it must be more valid or correct or something, right, as you're claiming for this disc daftness?
No you don't. They're not "proofs". At all. Not even close. They're misunderstandings at best, or wicked lies otherwise. If they were proofs then you could use them to "prove" the earth is flat. But no-one has. Because they're not proofs. At all. Not even close. They're misunderstandings at best, or wicked lies otherwise. If they were proofs you could... um...
Who's "we"? The religion's faithful, the vaguely masonic wannabe secret society of FE? Or do you mean the royal "we" as in you?
Could you explain one of them to a layperson, in exhaustive detail, without looking it up, reading from the screen, etc. In other words, do you yourself actually understand one of these unproofs, let alone all 200, inside out? Or are they just hand waving and a bit of this and that?
No you don't.
Every time? It doesn't work even occasionally? Wow. Every time...
No it isn't, no it isn't, at the surface of the earth.
I can't conceive of a large, complex organisation that has never communicated an untruth, typically I would imagine for an understandable, possibly even a good, reason.
You've been caught lying. About the earth being flat. It isn't, that's simply a lie #flatearthlie
How do you know I do? You know, you've been making a lot of baseless, unwarranted assertions in this post. I've a good mind to come over there and punch you on the nose.
I currently believe the earth is roughly spherical, because of the evidence for it being so. I question everything (I certainly question you). If evidence were produced that overturned prevailing globe wisdom, as Einstein did, to the satisfaction of reputable clever people, then I would change my belief. It would be mad not to. It would be mad to believe in something that so clearly goes against all our current knowledge and most accurate models, for the sake of clinging on to an outdated, disproved idea from a past era, whether for romantic historical reasons, or as a protest against reputable clever people, or whatever, you know?
I didn't yell anything
I didn't say anything about gravity.
I didn't show you any CGI.
I didn't show you a cartoon.
I didn't show you anything from NASA.
I didn't show you anything from the government.
I didn't show you anything from space agencies.
I didn't show you anything from government space agencies.
I don't "have" any of those things, as I didn't do them. Again, are you mixing me up with someone else?
Oh, it's the end. Anyway, I hope you now see you were wrong about that flat earth idea you had. No hard feelings, we all go down the wrong path sometimes. Cheerio.
* You probably aren't an idiot at all, just someone who's got caught up in a wacky idea, or a troll. I just felt like saying it.
