Yes, Jakob is amazing. And his age can be verified. Unlike certain other "juniors" whose proof is false birth certificates and the word of federations that are aware how gullible PC goofs are and how scared many officials are of being called "rayciss".

As per the 2018 Happiness Index, Finland is the happiest country in the world. Norway, Denmark, Iceland and Switzerland hold the next top positions. USA is number 18.
In february Norway led both the Global Cup and the per Capita Cup as the greatest sporting nation, the Capita Cup was ahead by nearly 1/3 of the capita compared to the next best nation, Switzerland. USA made it to place 23.
And then somebody think Norway is so unorganized that they cannot get the birth certificates right?
Don't argue with SWJ weenies. They know the truth. Subconsciously. They're just too frightened to shake off the peer pressure, they want so badly to be accepted by their fellow weaklings.

I just merged like 8 threads on this topic. How could they barely mention it on the tv broadcast? Crazy. TV should be about storytelling. How dot they not tell that story?
The field announcer was jizzing his pants about the 56 second last lap by the winner.
So Jakob's 3:52.28 converts to 3:35.14. He just may dip into the 3:32-3:33s this summer on the Euro circuit, which can put him in top 10-15 in the world this year. If he keeps progressing, next year will be really interesting.

It was windy down there. He is already in 3:31-2 shape, that's why he was right with Manangoi and ahead of Murphy and Centro.

The conversion I like to use gives 3:34.6 for 1500, but I agree with your dip numbers.
With is age being legit or at least can be verified unlike the guys we doubt from the underdeveloped countries, and also not saying that he is doped since he also is from a country we trust, this guy proves that a 17 year old can do so much and can run way faster than we think. He makes me start to believe in times that some legit East African juniors run (the times that usually make us either think they are age cheats or they are on drugs).
Does he really have to wear bike tights? Looks ridiculous.

Don't speak for all of us. His brother is on that Fancy Bears list. Norway has had state/federation sponsored fake asthma doping in skiing, even for their juniors, I think including current star Klaebo at the World Junior Championships a few years back.
How do you know that the skiers do not have asthma?
Here's the Norwegian all-time great female cross country skier. Do you thing this is natural?

This article based on NRK reporting:
http://fasterskier.com/fsarticle/norwegian-inhaler-use-at-world-junior-championships-stuns-north-american-competitors/Why are people here so obsessed with Jakob? People here are crazy. Give it a rest.
He is HS age but as fast as Josh Kerr.
If they have done something illegal, they should be punished. If not, you should end the whining. And YES, Marit Bjørgen looks like someone who has been training strength/endurance for 20+ years.
Is he sponsored by Nike?

Norway is arguably more developed that the USA. There's a very strong argument in fact. If you look at the average quality of life, healthcare, poverty, GDP per capita etc, Norway is one of the best in the World.
Many of the Scandinavian countries are right up there in the best places to live.
I know Americans just think/been brainwashed to think that the USA is the best country in the World, but it's just not the case.
Na we just have a ton of liberal sh!thole big cities dying of poverty in the US, and all of course all of the south, that brings the average down. That being said, Scandinavia is probably #1 place to live after the US.
No you are just wrong. You can't ignore all the bits of the US you don't personally like. We are talking averages here.
USA is nowhere near being the best place in the world to live. All metrics point elsewhere but you just don't like to hear it.
I live in the UK and my quality of life is good, but I'm not delusional and think it's the best overall here because I personally don't have any problems.

I'm not whining. I'm just saying that it's not a country that everyone should presume to trust in sports like the I guy I replied to originally said.
