Carrie Dimoff is 34 years old, a mother of two and a full-time employee at Nike and ran 31:57!
Great running.

31:55 in 4%s ....odd for a track race? maybe a little less odd for 10k...how would this performance have been different with spikes?
Was just going to say...Gwen was in 4%s?!?! Why no spikes?
She looks so unhealthy compared to that oly tri gold version.

Where have her leg muscles gone?
She's got Achilles niggles so guessing that's why no spikes. (Her video blogs show her doing lots of heel drops and she mentions it a few times)
Here is her youtube Video! :)

Looks like she'll be debuting her BTC singlet at the race. That being said, she likely has a rabbit in teammate Carrie Dimoff, who i think should be able to pace for sub 31:30 for at least the first 2 miles.
2 miles? You dotard.

I would say 30:20, at the very worst she would run 30:50. Triathletes are way tougher than runners, they do 3 sports!
This guy nailed it! Triathalete for the win!
Love your videos! Thanks for sharing.

Just stop. You wouldn't have predicted what Dimoff was going to do either. Give me a break.
Not impressed. She would get smoked by elite usa and foreign runners. But, hey I guess she is still on track to winning gold
in the marathon in 2 years. That is what she claimed.
What is she supposed to say -- my next goal is to make the team in the Olympic marathon? Gets less attention.
Hasay was mediocre on the track and now is one of the top marathoners in the U.S. and arguably right up there with the best in the world.

I don't think you understand the weight of that particular statement. The fact that she claimed that she is going to win gold in 2 years, or go after the gold in 2 years, is not only delusional and without foresight, but it is pompous and arrogant.
Her forwardness means that SHE FEELS that she is a gold medal runner, who can beat the world's greatest runners. Again, that is the basis that she set, and she will be HELD to it for every competition that she runs in.
So far, she wouldn't even get out of the heats of a world class running event.
There will be no letting up with this.
It could very well be that her best running events will end up being the 5km and 10km on the track. She doesn't seem durable enough (yet) to handle national class marathon training.
Lol The Scorpionnnn seething in every thread about her. Go Gwen!
Seriously. I don't what she did to ignite so much anger in some people.
The local class guys who make the podium at my local 5ks are pompous and arrogant. If a gold medalist is, I'm not surprised. I don't think she is, but I don't her personally either.
By saying she's going for the gold, we're now all paying close attention to her journey. She is a competitor, but also has to make a living. Smart marketing.
Of course I'm sure she, like many other athletes, knows so many things have to fall into place to achieve her lofty goal. But nothing is impossible. Trump is president. Centro won the 1500m in the Olympics. A 16 beat a 1 in the men's NCAA tourney.
The beauty of sport or anything in life is sometimes the impossible becomes possible. Dreams become reality. Otherwise, why bother?

Hasay was second twice in the 10k at US Champs.
