No. He’s adequately rated.
Wow. Anyone get a split on how close the men and women finished together. Definitely not how they planned it.
I'm thinking it was less than 2 minutes.
True outkicks Dathan.
Diriba outkicks Sisson.
Love how the commentator keeps saying, "Ben True running his first marathon."
Someone tell the announcer its a HALF marathon
That anouncer said "first ever marathon" around 10 times.

Maybe I should say I don't believe his results reflect his talents and abilities, which I guess is my own problem.
Women almost got caught by the men despite having a 12 minute head start.

Looked like the leading men were just over 400m behind diriba/sisson, so I would be surprised if it was more than 80-90 seconds.

Did they really? I wish I had seen here in the screen shot.
Don’t you have inappropriate comments to make about people, Steve
I can't wait for the 5k marathon!
Looking at the finish line tweets, it is 69 seconds.
Wait are some people still starting right now!? Unbelievable how long it takes for 20,000 people to start.

Per the Nyr tracker 68 seconds apart
Diriba 8:32:06am
True 8:33:14am
She had a 10:53 head start (7:19:43 vs 7:30:36)
Next year just start 10 minutes apart and give $$$ to overall winner

You can see it in the pictures I took of the finish. Photos show about 69 seconds so I'll accept 68 seconds.
Worth noting that the Nike 4% didn't take the win today. True with Saucony and Diriba with Adidas.

If I was an agent of a top Kenyan or Ethiopian male, I'd buy my athlete a spot in the race via a charity and then have him win. Now I think the NYRR might claim it's an invitation only race but I'd dare them to DQ him as it would be a PR disaster. I guess it would destroy the agent's credibility with the NYRR but it would be interesting.
It's pretty funny to see the post-race interview with True. The interview guy interviewed True just as he would a charity runner but I kind of liked it. Funny.
