His manual miles seem to be done on a treadmill looking at his facebook. The odd crazy fast mile on strava can be simple gps glitches. Him looking not looking emaciated could simply mean he replaces the calories he burns.
Bit early to try bring someone down based on anecdotal evidence.
I have no opinion on what has actually happened other than the blindingly obvious observation that if I was doing this I would be scrupulous in proving every step of the way with GPS/Cadence/HRM data. Anyone who doesn't needs to be met with scepticism.
N.B. Before the smart-ass replies, no if you are doing X run without GPS without mentioning it to anyone or making a big deal about charity you don't have to prove a thing as the only person who knows about it is you.
