Go up in a really tall building and you can see the curvature of the earth. But I've enjoyed this thread very much.

There'd be little point in flying a plane and landing it in the same spot, if you aren't going anywhere, why use a plane to do so? Most pilots have years of training and experience and understand how silly this sort of thing would be. Here, picture it this way: You don't get out of your bed, go out to your car, and drive to your house do you?
The Ends of the earth are at its edges.
Except of course if you want to do a 'round the world plane race. Almost as dumb as an ultramarathon but you gotta do what you gotta do.
You do know that you can go around a rectangle or any other shape, right? An around the world race simply refers to going to different big cities, making turns and returning to the start. Like in around the world in 80 days when they start and end up in England, they don't go around an imaginary line on a hypothetical spherical planet.

You can see the curvature of Earth even on the ground. The horizon is the same distance away in every direction so it's a circle. If it were square, you could see the corners.

If this is correct, then why do the lifeguards in Ventura Beach on a clear day see the Anacapa Arch island bridge from the beach? This 40ft high arch is more than 18 miles away from the Ventura County Fairgrounds, which means it should be considerably below the horizon and NOT visible IF we are on a curved earth. Yet, somehow, everyone there has seen it on clear weather days. Hmmmm...
Maybe because they are not lying flat on the ocean with their eyes at sea level. Why can you see farther when you are higher up? Why does anything ever disappear over the horizon?
This is hilarious.

Two of the times I've flown to Asia I've gone there flying West - California, Tokyo or Hawaii, Delhi , and come back flying west - Paris, NY. I've also gone to Asia and back via Europe or via the pacific other times. And I've flown Chicago to Delhi nonstop over the Arctic. But I'm sure the airlines and pilots are all in on the round earth conspiracy.

Mind you I suppose if the earth is flat, there is no "southern hemisphere" anyway...?
LOL just when I thought LRC couldn't get any looper... :-)
Explain the video then. . Why are planes’ GPS turned off during Southern Hemisphere flights, so that their exact trajectories can not be easily tracked?

Legit question wrote:So, how does a plane flying from New York to London end up having the same times either way they fly? Whether flying east or west, the plane takes the same time to get there?! The plane takes the same time to get to it's destination whether flying from New York to London, or from London back to New York!
Right there, this proves that there is no ball earth spinning at a 1000mph eastward. Right?
Right man! 6 3/4 = 8. It all makes sense now!
Oh, no, you didn't! Please tell me you didn't!

You flown in planes too and seen the curve? But did you really see the curve or did you convince yourself because you were told it is? Your eyes have been tricking you.

Legit question for you. (obviously you could/would have to stop to refuel)
Fly a plane heading East or West or North or South. One direction only. Then tell me if you don't come back to where you started.
Another legit question.
Where are the ends/limits of this flat earth?
I love a good troll. please don't disappoint me.
You can circumnavigate a circle just as easily as a globe going East or West. We can't go South over the Antarctic to get over to the other side and head North. Never been done.
As for the limits of the Earth, Admiral Richard Byrd took it to his grave.

The horizon always rises to the eye level of the observer as altitude is gained, so you never have to look down to see it. If Earth were in fact a globe, no matter how large, as you ascended the horizon would stay fixed and the observer / camera would have to tilt looking down further and further to see it.
All amateur balloon, rocket, plane and drone footage show a completely flat horizon over 20+ miles high.

You've flown these routes? Or been told by pilots or airline employees that those were the routes being used. Methinks the latter much more likely. The Atlantic Ocean looks surprisingly like the arctic to the untrained eye.
the real question is whats on the underside of earth?
In the ball-Earth model Antarctica is an ice continent which covers the bottom of the ball from 78 degrees South latitude to 90 and is therefore not more than 12,000 miles in circumference. Many early explorers including Captian Cook and James Clark Ross, however, in attempting Antarctic circumnavigation took 3 to 4 years and clocked 50-60,000 miles around. The British ship Challenger also made an indirect but complete circumnavigation of Antarctica traversing 69,000 miles. This is entirely inconsistent with the ball model.

Turtles. Turtles all the way down.

Like I said, the pilots are all in on the round earth conspiracy. There are thousands if not millions in on the conspiracy to hide the truth of the flat earth to the rest of the sheeple. Their goal and purpose are to... well, the way it advantages them is... I'll have to get back to you on that.

Lol, Lame. Is that the best you can do?
The eyes give us the illusion of ships disappearing over the curve. Great. Go to the beach and do it. Wait for a cruise ship or barge to disappear to your eyes. Then, go get a high-powered set of binoculars and TA DA! POOF! There it is again, looking just as it did before. Keep watching until you see it again appear to disappear. Then, assuming it's a nice clear day, go get a powerful telescope and check it again. TA DA! POOF! There it is again.
This is not possible if the earth is curved.
