The announcers say there isn't any wind...so far...
Trust me. THere is wind.
When I got up this morning in Newton, I looked out the window and didnt see the trees moving so I thought, "Where's the wind?"
When I walked outside, I felt it.
You don't run in a line like that unless it's windy. Weather.com is reporting 10mph in Hopkinton with gusts of 17mph. I'd say that's about what I felt downtown. 10mph isn't crazy wind but it impacts you
16:12 mark. Desi tosses her shirt.
I know it's early but Deba pushing the pace early isn't a good thing for Shalane. One of the hopes coming in was DEba, given her DNF at the NYC Half was not in form. Her husband/coach told uss that wasn't the case and she's at least proved that here.
Jerry S - Shalane's coach - told me when he was at the NYC half watching Bumby that Deba was more than a minute back before she dropped out.
Clearly, she's noot having back issues.
