Weird, and more than a little bit creepy, for adults to be paying such attention to pre-HS kids.
Let kids be kids.
Getting attention on a national level at that age is far more likely to do lasting harm than to confer any benefit to the children.
Let kids be kids.

According to USA Milesplit, Tindale ran 4:14.98 today for a new frosh state record. DAYYYUUUUMMMM
This is still his lifetime best apparently, which just shows the perils of focusing on the running performances of eighth and ninth graders, whether boys or girls.
Boston Peterson - 17:45 in the 5K at the Rochester invitational.

We're talking boys here, not girls so young they still have the bodies of boys and will be washed up in about two years.
Marcelo Mantecon ran a 15:48.29 at the southern showcase. Also became the #3 guy on nationally- ranked Belen Jesuit Prep. This team is extremely deep and has no seniors either. Next year they will be absolutely insane
There's an 8th grade girl in PA that might go high 16's at Garmin. She ran 17:30 at NBO.

He really hasn't had a chance to show himself yet, but keep an eye on 8th grader Jacoby Tooley from Stephenville, TX. Stephenville isn't even a serious running school, but this kid has talent! Consistent 10:40's as 8th grader 3200 XC's not mind blowing, but about where Caden Leonard was last year and look at him now.
I heard from his mom he is being allowed to race Nike Regionals at Woodlands.
17:46 8th grader here
