That was a hoax. Did you read the date it was published?
It was published "174w ago"... so about 3 years and 4 months.
Did you expect an online article about his 800m race to be published in 1990 when the track race was (reportedly) held? In general do you discredit anything written after an event occurs? Or is it that you don't rely on information published more than three years ago?
No need to respond - poster Zap Rowsdower already used his brain to discredit Eminem's 800m result.
Sebastien Junger, author of "The Perfect Storm" among other best-sellers, ran 2:20 for the marathon. Probably the best result for a famous person who was not primarily an athlete at some point (like O.J.).
Thomas Jefferson ran two miles a day throughout college. No times given.
Who was the politician who claimed a sub-3:00 a few years ago and was actually about an hour slower?

what are you on about? Rob Whalley was NOT in Chumbawamba. Ever
Model Kim Alexis has a marathon PR of 3:52 and last time she was up for the NYC marathon she ran 4:3x at 46. Not a lot of people have a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover along with a Runners World cover to their name. She incorporated running into her fitness program in 1978 and has been serious about it since.
yeah, it's boff whalley (b. 1961) who is the fell runner in chumbawamba. his memoir is a good read.

I believe that was Paul Ryan.

The late actor Roscoe Brown was NCAA Champion in the 600 yds
I just did some more research about Roscoe Lee Browne's track career. In 1951, T&FN ranked him second in the WORLD at 800 meters, and first in the U.S ahead of, among others, Mal Whitfield. (In fact, over a seven-year period, he was the only U.S. #1 in the 800 other than Mal Whitfield.) I think he also had the world's fastest 800-meter time that year, and set at least one or two world records at other middle distances that are no longer seriously contested. I never would have never guessed it. He was a very impressive person -- scholar, writer, director, Shakespearean actor, film actor, and world-class athlete, with a regal bearing and one of the greatest speaking voices ever.
Got wrong Mathers... It was Jerry, who worked his tail off to become World class but only could Beat Lumpy by won stride in the. 880.

There is also the matter of the spelling of the name -- "Marhshall Mathers." Either Kevin Liao was in on the hoax or he was too frigging dumb to pick up on this.
