Did she actually say, "since you are wearing something that pushes music through your ears, you have no credibility as a runner"? Because that does not seem like something someone would typically say.
I would be interested in knowing exactly what she said, because if he is paraphrasing, there may well be something lost in his interpretation of her words.
At this point, the jury is out as to whether she acted incorrectly.
