HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLY SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT
LOL
OUCH. On a side note. The kid is tough as nails cause soon after, he seemed pretty calm about it all.
I appreciate the warning.
Some dick on my Facebook decided it would be funny to post the picture with no warning. I usually have a strong stomach, but that made it churn.
Some mentioned Llewellyn Starks. I was there at that happened, at the New York Games at Columbia's Wien Stadium. We all thought a rifle shot had gone off...it was that loud, and crisp. Someone had a videotape of Carl Lewis just sitting on a bench at the far end of the long jump runway, and when he hears what happened, he runs over to see Starks.
The next time I saw Starks was at the Millrose Games at Madison Square Garden that winter. He had cage on his leg, with about two dozen pins going into it. He never did long jump again.
OMFG
This kid of thing can't happen on a regular run right? Shit
You pansies who are stunned by this wouldn't last 15 minutes in the medical field.

Which is why we aren't in the medical field!
Hey, there's a big difference between open heart surgery, when you expect to see a lot of viscera and gore, and an NCAA basketbasll game, where, outside of maybe a bloody nose, you don't.
Happened to a Bballer at my school this year. He likely had a stress fracture. The kid was back on the court playing pickup games in under 4 months. It looks bad, but isn't nearly as bad as a torn ACL.
So in the .gif of the bench, check out the black guy in the first row who is staring down at his phone. He doesn't realize what is going on and never looks up.
My thing is that I bet he has been bragging to his friends about how he saw it happen. How much do you want to bet that he has lied? I mean, the dude is sitting 5 feet away. Is he really going to go home and say, "no, I missed it. I was looking at my Twitter feed."
