3200 9:12 (converted from 8:37 3000)
Many of the better track guys peaked for summer track as opposed to school.
I guy ahead of me run much faster times but in the summer and didn't count for our high school records. A guy ahead of me ran 3:54 1500 in his junior year in the summer.
I agree sub 9 are impressive; that's a 8:25 3000; fairly rare in high school. I guess over the years they add up.

Would be nice to know what schools we are referring to in most of these.
Boys:
1:52.36
4:12 (altitude and sea level)
8:45 (sea level)
9:05 (altitude)
Girls:
2:09.15
4:43 (sea level)
4:53 (altitude)
10:03 (sea level)
10:42 (altitude)
Our school is in Colorado.
Smoky Hill High School
-Ryan Deak has both the 1600 (altitude and sea level) records
-Brent Vaughn owns both the 3200 records
-Katelyn Kaltenbach has the 800 and 1600 (sea level) records
-Megan Kaltenbach has the 1600 (altitude) and both the 3200 records
In addition Deak ran 14:58 for 5k @ altitude and 14:24 at sea level, and Katelyn Kaltenbach ran 17:24 altitude and 16:51 @ sea level. Our 4x8 records are 7:45.10 and 9:01.83 (both state records). In fact, I think our school records stack up nicely against most high schools across the U.S., as we have a 17'5" vaulter, 60'/192' thrower, and a 10.4/21.3//47.0 sprinter on the boys side and an 11.8/24.2 sprinter and a 19'/39'jumper on the girls side.

Yes, the 3200m record is soft, considering the shorter distance records.

Or Girl's Polevault - 12'3.
I think they are:
800- 1:53
1600- 4:14
3200- 9:25
3 different guys, all between 2010 and 2011
When I entered hs in 1992 the records were 1:57.4, 4:27 and 9:37
When I left school in 1996 they were 1:55, 4:22 and 9:37 (none by me... I was always a step behind).
Think the mile went to 4:19 around 1997 or 1998, and then I think someone may have run 4:17-18 between 1998 and 2010, but the 3200 and 800 stayed as they were.
2010/2011 there was a breakout, and as I understand it, all 3 are doing pretty well at D1 schools (the 1:53 guy went 1:49 as a freshman).
