Yeah, I guess I agree with you, mainly because those were the first two movies that I saw him in and enjoyed the movies and his performances, but he effectively is no different an actor in any of his subsequent roles. However, I do believe that, particularly with Dances with Wolves and Bull Durham, his wooden performances are over-shadowed by how great the movies are.
