Brojos, can you please address why you don't care about this?
I am not a Brojo, but I pose this question: How does Ajee winning address the widely-held letsrun dream that one day a white man will compete on equal footing with black men at a world class track meet, especially in a distance race, and triumph?
Don't hold your breath...even with a room full of oxygen tanks you'll run out before they care to answer and show interest in her winning!
AJEE WILSON
2:00.91 World Junior GOLD and a Jessica Judd silver medal got the same thing an article on the far right hand side of the page under advertisement! I'm not saying it to be funny either.
Why do that?
The moderators are reading these threads.
They deleted my posts from this thread and others
about this. I did not curse, or call anyone a bad name.
I just stated my opinion and some facts.
Ajee Wilson is a "Multiple World Champion" with a Gold Medal.
It is very rare for this to happen in US DISTANCE RUNNING
PERIOD! These are facts -- not what if; maybe; possibly;
or two years down the line (For no one knows what will happen two years from now -- ONLY GOD KNOWS)
I never wanted to believe what some were saying and thinking as it relates to "you know what I am talking about" but it seems to be coming through loud and clear.
Nevertheless they have a right to do as they please because it is their site.
Until one of our US middle/long distance runners (Male/Females) win a World Championship (Which rarely ever happens) then this should be big big big front page news!
There was a link on the corner of the front page which wondered about why the IAAF did not mention Mary (mentioned first) and Ajee were not mentioned by the IAAF for highlights. As it relates to Ajee I would be angry but why would the IAAF highlight a 6th place finisher over the other five? This was the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!!
PS.. I like Mary Cain (nothing against her) -- I believe it is possible (I know I am using the possible scenerio) she could be the NEXT Mary Decker (Yet who knows)
Correction --
Though I have had a few posts/threads deleted
by LetsRun I was able to actually find
my missing thread. So I believe it is important
to state that publicly in the same way that I state
issues publically. Though I still have issues with
having posts deleted this was not one of them and
I was wrong
Actually it is because of Veterans like myself
who have and do defend this country that you have
the freedom to be a racist.
PS. I probably have more college education than you do! lol
Keep being a racist!
I just watched the race. Wilson looks like she is running very much under control, she ran a smart race, running some extra but keeping out of the box that way, and then going to the front in the last 200m after the others had tired themselves out with a quick 58.29 first lap (for Wilson, who is used to hammering the first lap, her 59 was under control). And she practically ran even splits, which I hadn't thought she'd try. Now Judd, the 2nd place Brit, looks almost sickly thin and needs more physical strength for the kick. She comes on at the very end when Wilson is letting up, but Judd to me does not look at the moment like a future great one.
I am happy for the girl. But if it makes me racist to say I prefer to watch white people winning races then so be it. I like Vanilla white cake better than chocolate., am I still a racist?
I am white so I find it more preferential to see my color win races. Sorry if it hurts your feelings.
That's your opinion too bad Ajee Wilson the last two year haven't lost a 800m race against opponents her age. Guess you need to stop watching Ajee run, huh ROFLMAO?
If letsrun posters are dreaming and waiting for a white to win a race, then their wait is going to be forever. It ain't
happening.

I could see the delay in putting the win on the front page but over 24 hours later and nothing.
Letsrun you guys are totally off the mark on this one but you got Debbie Dunn news up in a few hours.
When wilson gets caught for drugs then she can be on the front page.
When Pietro Mennea and Wariner were the top white guys in the business, did anyone give that big a shit? If they were white , black or Asian
Stop with the racism stuff, this was a junior race and yes she is GREAT not just good
So is Mary Cain, no headlines for her either and she broke a Nat HS Record, Wilson did not

Really? In what world is that
Jim Ryun 3:55.x at age 18
which of these marks were proportionatly Better?
uh-huh. You were peeling taters for a couple years in some stateside NG unit, but I bet you can't STFU about being a veteran.. What enemies did you fight off in defending our country? When's the last time anyone attacked our country? 1942?
College or no college, you obviously are still struggling to form a grammatically correct sentence:
"Actually it is because of Veterans like myself who have and do defend this country that you have the freedom to be a racist."
Now go proofread & correct your poorly written thought, and I'll wait here patiently for your revision, buckwheat. You can go to the other side of the tracks in your 'hood, find some white dude & ask for help if you need to..

You need some social interaction beyond your 1 bedroom shack. The lustfully caresses of your father doesn't count and actually maybe why you're so bitter.
Ajee is not your enemy Sir, she is the hope of American middle distance running!
Posters here and elsewhere say that Wilson was "letting up" as she approached the finish or, as VIPAM said was a "fact", she was "running only as fast as she had to grab first place".
Given that in addition to racing to win she was also racing to beat Gallagher's record and to break 2, plus to me at least she doesn't appear to be "letting up", plus the intelligence with which she ran the race belies the thought that she would "let up" until she was across the line, plus given the recent OT-tie I doubt that any runner would risk throwing away even a hundredth of a second (or five-hundredths), could someone explain this theory?
Give it a rest Ajee Wilson won and she did so in a world class time. Where did you read that she stated, "she was running the final to run sub 2 minutes?"
Stop assuming you tool! Ajee Wilson has accomplished what no other American high school middle distant athlete have ever (World Youth and World Junior Gold). Hate all you want Mary Cain and no other athlete can claim that to this date!
Negative, I was Active Army, lol
PS.. I will pray for you as well. Let
me guess, you are some how a Christian yet
a Racist?
As a Christian I will pray for you

Whoa! All I asked was where people got the idea that Wilson eased up late or did not run all-out.
As to the sub-2, fair point. It's just been a question for at least a year whether Wilson would go sub-2 (or whether Cain or Amy Weissenbach would do it). The best I have from Wilson herself is "Breaking two minutes? That would be awesome. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn’t, that would be fine with me, too" (with her coach saying, "Two minutes? Yes, it’s truly, truly do-able"). I just find it hard to believe that someone so close wouldn't go all-out for it. Hence my inclusion of it in my list. Same with Kim Gallagher's record.
