I know more about "marathoning" than 99 percent of posters here, and not just from the experience of having broken 2:20 in every marathon I ran, but I may add that the thread about Rupp being entered in the trials shows that most posters have absolutely no idea what they're talking about. I will say that you don't have to have experienced much success at running to know a lot about it, but it is quite the combo when you have posters who have no earthly idea what they're discussing and then they make assertions which are palpable nonsense. Ritz is UNLIKELY to make the U.S. Olympic marathon team, and that is an educated assertion. Does he have a small chance of making the team? Of course, he is one of the most accomplished runners in the field.
