That maybe he fell so many places due to this and didn't 'fight back'. ... Thoughts?? Thanks.
At least LV kicked past a few people
At the finish... He even 'out leaned' somebody at the line from the looks of the flotrack video
My top 5 for NCAA
1) Ryan Hill - dirty kick, lots of experience
2) German Fernadez - Yeah, he is back
3) Cam Leevins - Who is this guy?
4) Lawi LaLang - I mean, he is really good
5) Lukas Versibikus - Freshman swag, you know he has the talent.

And LV ran the second half of the Wisconsin invite at 5:24 pace or 26 min/8km pace. Sure he will be better come nationals, but he is not going to go from frog to prince, I don't think. If he had held on for 6000+ meters and then faded, it would be one thing, but going off at 4100 meters, being pushed over his limit by a hard pace up the rise on the back behind the finishing straight is not that promising. His teammate did not look comfortable either, while Parker Stinson did the same thing that he did in Oregon, hang on doggedly to the Wisconsin top 5, in what is an under-appreciated effort.

Look, LV beat Lutz EVERY time they raced in HS.
And Lutz just beat Brian Leung BY A LOT.
Leung has beaten his teammate Donn Cabral.
And Cabral has beaten Luke Puskedra.
Puskdra has beaten Matt Centrowitz (who looks a little like a frog prince).
And Centro has beaten Bernard MF Lagat!
So don't go telling me that LV can't beat a damned frog prince! If he can kick Lagat's butt he sure as heck can place top 5 at NCAAs.
LV - sub 4 miler, 8:29 full two mile, WORLD CHAMP!..... Yeah he had one tough race, but you can't say this young buck does not what it takes to be top 5 at NCAA. If he shows up on the day, and others struggle, Lukas could probably win the meet - no joke.

I'll predict that there will be one Wisco guy in the top 5 mixing it up. Take your pick, Mo, Mav, or Elliot.
How is a full two mile different from a two mile?

Yes, most high schools consider the 2 mile a 3200 meter race, which is about 3 or 4 seconds faster then the full two mile
What are you getting at here? Your point is a little confusing especially your sentence about Parker. Are you saying that Lukas and Parker are not looking well for upcoming events?
1. Levins
2. Levins
3. Levins
4. Levins
5. Lalang
My top 5
1) German
2) Chris Derrick
30 Colby Low
4) Leevins
5)Lalang
Derrick did not look like he was able to keep up the pace at the end of the Wisconsin race. Maybe he will up his game more than others but I certainly would not bet on him being first or beating someone like Lalang or probably Levins. GF is too much of a question mark to know if he will be top 5 or just top 20; he has the quality to be closer to top 5. Lowe has usually come pretty good in the big race -- I think several of these guys will run together and be picking people off the last 2 kilos.
Given how Lalang has been running alone even in a windy race, I have to believe that he can extend to 10km at the same pace (but the UW course is just a tad short in that last kilo, so the wind and the short course balance each other to an extent).

He removed a lot of question marks this week. We won't know if he is a contender for 1) first; 2) for top-5; 3) or top-10 because team aspects can keep him from racing balls out until Nov 21. He looked pretty pushed but not balls-out in the video that I saw.

Isn't Tyler Mccormack that retarded kid on Clemson? Nice that they let a kid with down syndrome on the team. Can't believe he finished top 10 at ACC's
