Yep.
You don't see sportscenter going to a basketball message board to report:
"Not a single post was supportive of LeBron!"

the first reply on the GF thread was completely factual. the post made by me myself where i got the information from Colby Lowe himself. read the article and read my first post if you don't believe me
Wow, thanks for clearing that up. I'm sure Colby appreciates you using him as a revealing source that sparked the controversy.
Wait, you just did it twice. If you're using his name, why not use yours, Mr. X?

Entirely false.

Letsrun is a joke. It is the tabloid of running websites. That said, who else is making money off Times New Roman font in an oval made on MS Paint?
Wait a second. They make money off this site???? How much?
The irony of the whole situation is that the OP asked the question, got one good response and a couple hundred sarcastic comments (many of which were pretty darn funny) and then this thread of trolls actually prompted the McCue article, in which we find out what Fernandez's status actually IS. Also, in the McCue article, the author trashes the Letsrun thread- which arguably by itself gathers as much attention as the attention to Fernandez.
So in a way, Letsrun.com made the truth come to light.
I enjoy the 90% of this site that is entertainment, the 5% that is generally informative, and the 5% that actually improves my running. There's a lot to learn here for inquiring minds.
Mo you don't...what's the circulation of Marathon & Beyond?
Great response Wejo. That was pretty much my view of the German thread also, and I did contribute a troll post to it. It wasn't a negative post but a light hearted funny update on his status. I went back and reread part of the thread and didn't see much negative anti-German bashing. It was mostly comical. The RT author must not have gotten the humor.
As odd as it may sound, that thread is a sign of respect.
Threads like that don't get started for 18 minute 5Kers trying to win an age group award at the local Turkey Trot.

Marathon & Beyond is all user submitted... meaning the articles are pretty much always different and unique. Some issues are better then others.
RT and RW just recycle the same get 5K fit in 12 weeks... couch to 10K... run your first race...
No idea what the circulation of Marathon & Beyond is.
The author of the article is an idiot.
Fernandez still holds the HS record for 3000m. Luke V did not break it as no time was recorded at the 3000.
Letsrun has Canova, Daniels, Cabal, malmo, we had Hadd, the list goes on.
Who on the RT boards or in their magazine shares even a fraction of what you can find on these boards? A diamond you pick out of a bucket of shit is still a diamond, and if a little much is enough to keep you from a valuable gem, then you don't deserve the gem to begin with.
RT is a step up from RW, but it's still predictable, tame, generic, everything actual running training is not. Cookie cutter quotes from softball interviews given to athletes weeks or even months after the fact of an important performance.
If you want something clean and easy that you can put on your coffee table to let other people know you run, subscribe to Running Times or Runners' World. If you want to actually think critically about what someone is saying and get useful information from big name coaches that legitimately gives details rather than outlining generic principles that we all already know, go to letsrun.com

100% this. i dont even mind funny trolling but so many posts fall below even that level and are simply garbage.
its true the message boards do suck on lets run, everyone has something smart to say and likes to tell how bad of a runner everyone is, and yet you are prob sitting in your parents basement with a 24 min 5k pr under your belt it is ridiculous, no one has anything nice to say or help others anymore. this is my first post on LR and will be my last, lets see how may people start ripping on this post now/me? which will prove my point about the messages boards.

I take real offense to the 24 minute 5K rip. When I was 28, I was indeed in my parents basement commenting on the boards. But that year I ran 21:59, NOT 24 minutes.

Nice to see you guys lead by example. Bravo!
Same sentiment in this month's RT about complete crap on here negatively impacting a runner's morale.
its all good now, the dude took down the name of the website, i got him. he will never pull that bull again.
That's another way to call a cat a kitten. Why'd the author do that? RT = RW there all vages.
