I wish that the pacemakers were allowed to have their names on their bibs as well as their pacer numbers. They deserve to be more than nameless runners, as they do great jobs helping Haile and Makau chase a new world record.

I agree with you. I remember a few years ago being fascinated by one pacer, John Kales, who was capable of leading WR attempts but about whom there was almost no information available, because he rarely if ever actually raced.
