Nice run Webb.
bautista...really, you are a huge piece of shit with a crappy website. No one likes your comments.
not only did webb run 1:49 and 3:42, he also did a 0:32 kegstand. Not a bad time, but excellent for this early in the season.
Did I hear this right? Did Webb really do a 3:52 Beer 1500? Man this is bigger then Jason Rexing!
I like my comments and other people do too
i am not sure why he would bring a keg to the race. did he feel a need to celebrate some seond place finishes in a races that dont mean anything? why does he have to bring a keg to 'prove that he is cool'? you dont prove you are cool; you either are or you arent.
drinking a few beers wont have a disasterous effect on your body. however, alochol dehydrates you and is nothing but empty calories. it clearly isnt good for you. if allen strives be extraordinary he shouldnt be wasting his time doing things ordinary people do.
if u read the article about the race, he took 2nd because he was pacing the Gtown guy in the 1500....Webb is far from washed up and I believe he will come through

Great analogy to Brittany Spears. perfect. Lets just hope Alan doesn't start piercing himself.
YEAH! Let's hope he starts piercing other people! That would be awesome!
He did it for fun, not to celebrate or prove his coolness, get off his back. You are making assumptions.
A year ago around this time he ran 4:06, 1:49, and 49 in his district meet, now he gets 1:49 and 3:42 in heavy winds and rabbited the 1500...he's in shape
JMU Alum were just kicking back all day and needed transportation for drinks, he knows some of em. And let use truck, nothing more nothing less. get a grip, not trying to be cool
He probably did it because he wanted other runners to like him. Pretty pathetic, in my estimation. He just wants to be one of the guys.
You make too many assumptions
Hey wiseguys, in your description of the 800 race you are intentionally trying to make Webb out worse than he was. He was way, way back at the 500 mark. He was obviously running the race as some type of workout. He made up a lot of ground, and was never in distress. Didn't even look like he was trying to win. His 1500 was ok, considering it was about an hour later. Let's see Stember or Gabe try and pull this off. Webb had also not pointed for this meet, running right through the week. Stop worrying about him, or stop trying to slight him. He'll surprise everyone at the Pre meet. Don't be surprised if he runs 1:45+ and 3:34+ this year and continues to improve over the next few years.
None of you complainers can break 2:00 in the 800 or 4:00 in the 1500 anyway.

Actually Stember did a 1:48'ish/3:58 double at the beginning of 2003 outdoor...although I cannot recall the time gap. In addition, maybe Webb did run the 1:49 as a workout, but someone else posted that the 800m went out in :51, so maybe that's why he was far back.
I will say though, that being able to run a 3:42 as a workout after the 1:49 is good to hear. Originally I was pessimistic after assuming both races were all out, but now I'm glad to hear otherwise.
Funny though how (until recently) nobody was defending Webb since 2001 like I always was, but instead bashing him. Now here come the fair weather fans.
That is me, trying to show a picture of me will not be an insult. Also earlier when I said one year that was a mistake, I meant in 2001. The point is that he's in great shape, he did that triple back then and I compared it to the double he just did. Again, that is me in the picture, why should I feel insulted?
that's a nice looking bird. did you kill it?
NO, bautista, you really are a jackass. you should keep your stupid opinions to yourself and quit trying to make friends on a message board by kissing everyone's ass. thank you for letting us know that webb is in shape... you would know.
actually, he was RACING the 800. Okay so he didn't run very good. But his 3:42 isn't such a bad way to cap off the day, which in face he was rabitting Lukezic.
I don't believe everything I read but if that story is true then it's sad and I predict that Webb has no future as an elite runner. Do you think Geb or El G were concerned about getting their drink on after a race? Even Ritz wouldn't do that. Webb is a chump.
