Well, that is why I said I would guess. Maybe not. Though I know some people on the BATC and they certainly don't think Shannnon is suspect.

Cook has all of his athletes sign a contract, before he will coach them, stating that they will not discuss with anyone the supplements they take. This should be a red flag.
Yes but at MOST a red flag. I had several former training partners who went on to the world championships and olympics and lived with a few of them. These guys were into nearly every LEGAL supplement that made sense in terms of a LEGAL athletic advantage be it recovery, energy boost for a workout etc.
Supplement may have a bad ring to it because not all "supplements" are good, however you need to remember that not all are bad. The list of what's legal or not can change yearly and some of the items or amounts can be almost random. Think ginseng and caffeine. Some things can be made illegal one year and then legal again a year or two later.
If vitamin c was shown to be a powerful antioxidant, support your immune system and be responsible for aiding certain other vitamin and nutrient absorbtion into the body, and as a result helped you recover faster and stay healthy in order to train harder, would you take it? They are just going along that line of thinking provided that they stay with legal supplements. The guys I'm talking about were very opposed to taking drugs.
Perhaps Cook does this for two reasons:
1) A new or less known, but legal supplement that is advantageous would be more beneficial to his cause if only his athletes were taking it.
2) A supplement that is legal one year and banned the next can cause suspicion and make his group look dirty even though they never broke the rules.
Accussing someone or some camp of being dirty is serious business, and really it's libel on this board. I wouldn't recommend it unless you had better proof than what could just be a coach being competitive and covering his LEGAL butt in the event that supplements are later found to be banned.

No he doesn't...so put down your red flag!

Kapsabet which is a town near eldoret is hot and dry. It is a training town too. Travel alittle you might learn alot.
The LOL is on you. No athletes in Kenya come from Mombasa.
Abdi came from Mombasa (yes I know he was born in Somalia).
Besides, you totally missed his point, tone down the arrogance a bit.
