here's the video of the race:
The third place guy is Renny Quow from Trinidad who was the bronze medalist at the World Championships in Berlin. Pretty stacked field

Thanks Ryan!
I keep missing you guys when you come to UF. Although you weren't here for Floirda Relays this year.

Oh? Didn't Coe run 1:41?
I think you misunderstood me!
I was saying that Elliott was at his limit running 1:42.97, but that I agree he could have posted better times over 1500 & mile than his pbs (3:32.69/3:49.2). However, I then said that Coe, Ovett & Cram were all also capable of running faster than their Pb's at 1500 & Mile.

I hope Gay is on fire at 200m this summer, as another Bolt dominated season will be boring.
Why would Bolt being dominant be boring? Because he isn't repping America? It would only be boring if Bolt has no real competition. The Berlin 100M was a whole lot of fun because Tyson pushed Bolt to run to the finish line. He has competition from Asafa and Tyson - the fact that he
maybe a step ahead of them notwithstanding. The US dominated the sprints for decades but I still found watching the sprints enjoyable. Bolt maybe dominant but in the sprints no one is unbeatable.
I think we're actually on the same page here. No, I'm not American, and it's a fresh change to not have the US dominating the sprints. I just think it would be good if Gay was close enough to give Bolt some really good, close races which will see them both run great times.
how does every thread somehow turn into a 800 meter disscussion or debate reguardless of the original topic. LMAO!!

Because most people on this board are distance runners and the 800 is the shortest distance that they think they can beat elite sprinters in. It's kind of like a territory thing. The truth is I have been around enough elite 400 runners to know that most of them can run sub 1:53. That is faster than all but a handful of the distance runners that visit this board. And yes it is true that most sprinters start to fall apart after 600 meters. But by fall apart I mean they run 1:52 instead of 1:46.
actually Flotrack was at the Florida Relays, cause UF ran 3.00.xx (WL) there, wasn't it?
Flotrack is becoming pretty big, so it's not all about Mark or Ryan anymore, but they got help from those guys called Floskis...(some are pretty good).
Next step... Boston Marathon live coverage ;-)
