64,000 thousand miles
I though about this question again (I already wrote about it before) but I guess the most important aspect of this whole thing is not how many miles you have done or will do but "YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE!!!"
First off, I don't buy the "I bet I put in 12000 miles before I was 12 with soccer, recess, etc. It's far too hard to estimate and it's specific to running.
I'm 27 and I'm somewhere in the 27,000's.
I'm 48 and will hit 49,000 in mid January.
about 4000. will be 14 in 2 weeks
I'm 35 and been running for 14 months now. Suffered through two IT band injuries over this period. Over this time I've done about 1200 miles. Every time I approach 40 miles in a week, my body breaks down. Going to keep trying though.
16,000 at 26
only ran 2/4 years in college, picked it up again some time after i graduated
14,000 at 22. Started running soph year of HS. Been logging since age 19.
Doesn't seem like much compared to all these guys!
age 44
went over 70,000 career miles on Sept. 29th, 2009, have logged every mile since starting to run in April, 1979
Agreed.
I walk to work 3 times a week at a brisk pace.... does that count as mileage? What about my swimming?
And 12,000 miles?! Really? They're giving themselves a lot of credit. I heard Joe Vigil say that East Africans do 18,000 miles by 18 years old. This guy/girl must be from Nairobi.
This should be about mileage from dedicated running.
Around 20,000k at 25 years old.
