Puskedra will not top 10, but I think he'll be 11-15. 20th at the lowest.
Jordan Chipangama from NAU will won, mark my word here.
William and Mary wont even be top 20, let's be real there soft

MCNEIL
KOSGEI
KIBIOYWO

puskedra got 5th last year, won pre nats race, he loves terre haute. i think putting him at 7th or 8th whatever i had him at is a smack in the face. hes gonna run great,it wouldnt shock me if he got top 3 by any means
Excuse me, WM was top 20 last year, graduated nobody, and halved the #15 team at Regionals.
To not predict them for top 10 is just foolish

Yeah, since there's some real evidence to suggest that this year........................
NAU has only 4 decent runners and will be lucky to get top 10. Estrata is out for the season, by the way!
Potential Top Ten Teams
1.Dave Smith's Team
2.Cardinal Trees
3.Mark's Bisen Striders
4.Joey's Boys from the Que
5.Shumacher's Old School
6.Nike's Purchase
7.That Other Oregon Team
8.Oldest Team on the Course
9.Walker's Eastern African Tide
10.2 Kids from Virginia
11.Irish Coached Alabama Team
12.The highest altitude trained team
Individuals:
Top 10 somewhat in order:
Chelanga, Derrick, McNeil,Mead, Heath, Puskedra, Barnibus from Old Miss, Bethe, Kirwa, and top 4 from OSU
Derrick's race to lose and there should be antoher thread on Ryan Vail versus Fernandez, versus Kosgei all on the same team with the kid from South Lake who should be top 15-25 as well!
After reading Dave Smith's interview I think Ok State is weaker than I thought.
Here is my adjusted predictions.
1. Stanford
2. Alabama
3. Ok St.
4. Wisconsin
5. Oregon
Totally forgot Wisconsin...My revised, after reconsidering NAU...
1. Stanford
2. Oklahoma State
3. Wisconsin
4. Oregon
5. Colorado
6. Portland
7. William & Mary
8. Alabama
9. BYU
10. NAU
11. Syracuse

No, you're reading selectively. Did you read the part where he threw Vail's and Kosgei's names into the discussion of possible individual champs? He thinks those two guys could be top 5.
Fernandez will, at worst, be with Colby Lowe. I would say the odds are greater that he's OSU's #1 than their #4, though.
Lowe has looked consistently strong all year and should be around 25-30th.
The real question is whether Chirchir or Mecheso can stick close enough to Lowe to give them a shot at the title.
Best case scenario, they'll beat Stanford, and it won't be all that close, finishing something like 3, 6, 7, 20, 30. The likelihood of this, however, is extremely low.
A more reasonable scenario would have their top three finishing together, then Lowe about 15 spots back, then Girma another 20 or so spots back. Maybe 12, 13, 14, 28, 47.
That score will not beat Stanford Monday. My guess is that Stanford's finishes will be something like 0, 10, 20, 25, 30.
It's going to take a very good day for OSU to win, but I do think they've got a shot. They're the only other team that could conceivably win, I hope they give it a real go.
If W&M ran like they did at regionals...I don't think top 3 is out of range...definitely a darkhorse.
What would the Freshman of the Year list look like?
Top 10 Freshman (redshirt or true? both I guess)

As I sees it, the first 2 spots is locked down, then its a 29 team race for the third spot.
The best case for OSU is all 5 in the top twenty. Possibly 2-3 in the top 10. Maybe 1 in the top 5.
Worse case has 4 in the top 30 and one of the top 5 blowing up and finishing about 50-60.
Stanford has a little more room for error, but not as much pure talent as OSU 1-5. Unfortunately for OSU, 2 of their top 5 are not on the top of their form. Making this a very close race to call. It's all up to German and Girma.
German should finish top 20, but talent wise he should be top 5. I have no idea what Girma will do. Talent wise he should be top 15. Maybe top 10, but his form has been off all season (with no excuses that we know of).
Stanford > NCAA
Fernandez = Stanford's JV team
Why do you think Fernandez is so good, doesn't make any sense to me, he just doesn't have mental toughness. That's why he can't run XC... I wouldn't put him on a JCO team b/c I know he'd drop out of the race
