Reed Connor, top true frosh in front of Halie Soloman! Top 2 frosh in NCAA this yr? It looks like Reed will be redshirting?
Looks like Dunbar is doing great at Portland as well. I'm not sure who else but I'd be interested in others' perspectives on this year's Frosh.
I guess the Illinois men don't really suck after all. But now the question is if they can stay healthy and consistent throughout the season.
syracuse ran great in the beginning of last year only to get 5th in their region. its the first week of october...
Take a look at who took second... Jeff Thode true freshman.
The WI women ran worse times than a lot of D3 teams... I can't believe that. Embarrassing. Hope they can get things figured out. There's really no excuse for that with their facilities - and on their home course they nearly finished last? Wow.
That being said, good to see Tegenkamp, Solinsky, Jager, & Bairu back for the alumni race. Looked like they had a good time & plenty of fans came out to watch. I think overall it was a good debut for the new course. The men seemed to perform pretty well, but as I said above, the women performed awful!
A lot of the Wisconsin women are hurt. Grinnaker, their number one was hurt for a majority of the season, Buetler, their number 3 DNF and has been fighting injuries the whole season. Also their number 4, coyle, was/is hurt, along with numerous other girls.
I think at this point, it is a lost season for them. Injuries decimated them.
Yeah, it's a real bummer for the Badger women, with all of them coming back from last years team they had high hopes. They took their lumps in track last year to make a run at it this year, so they are better off shelving those girls for track season. With Emily Sisson committed for next year it might be a good idea anyway.
Way to go, Duke women!!
Why is it that the only women who run well for Duke are the Fresh/soph? After that, you never hear from them again. What happened to Maddie McKeever? (She was on All American and then just disappeared.) Katie Doswell? Emily Sherrard? Katelyn Bastert is finally running again, but not close to her high school level. After beginning with a bang, she seems to have redshirted for the past two years. Speaking of freshman, where is Ashley Brasovan? Hurt?
The level of talent is always there, but instead of steadily progressing, most girls seem to just disappear.
If you look at who ran for them, only one Junior and no Seniors. Do they overtrain? Just injury prone?
anyone know why Zach Wilhelmy didn't get more attention from mick when he took over at wisconsin? looks like a big mistake right now...
lacrosse almost beat michigan, lol
Videos of the races are linked here:
As pointed out in the D3 thread, Wilhelmy couldn't even get into LAX out of high school. He really wanted to run for wisco, he just could not get in.
Alumni results? Anyone, anyone? I saw that the OTC guys ran as a pack and let Codie See win. Who else was there?

Watch the video in the above link to see who else was there. I doubt that they were wearing chips.

From what I saw they were talking the whole way - the first time I have seen guys jog a 15-minute XC 5K.
The best freshman for UW is not even racing yet - they may have Connor and the Canadian kid both racing by Big 10s.
