Excited for Bad Boy! Hope there are some local clubs out, and the weather is nice!
With the construction going on in VCP (see:
http://www.dyestatmetro.com/?pg=reg1-2009-XC-1-Random-articles-VCP-contrsuction-updates#map
) I assume the course will be the same one used at the Ivy League champs?

Does Manhattan Track Club know about this?
The races are shaping up really well. We have lots of great prizes and the entry list is looking very strong. Both the men's and women's races should be really solid.
We are very much aware of the construction at VCP. It was what delayed our permit application nearly 2 months and why we weren't able to give a definitive date until so late.
We will be competing the same course used for the Men's and Women's Heptagonal Cross Country Championships and will have maps and volunteers on the course. It is not a difficult course to follow, but it is different from the traditional course, so will need some explaining.
Looking forward to Sunday. It should be a great day at the races!

what about the womens' results you were going to post?
Sorry, completely forgot. I am at work, and away from my home computer with results, but attached is the URL from our 2nd Bad Boy race.

Last year there were 16 women in the field... it was very small. This year 25 or so have pre-registered (women). Given what we've experienced in the past as far as race day signups, I would expect about 40-50 women in the race, ranging from low 18:00 to 30:00 min.
I'll try and post more results this evening.
Hopefully we'll see you Sunday.
Regards,
Michael
I bet you end up with 16 women and 27 men
Is this race being run this year? The MTC web site only has the 2009 schedule.

On a slightly related note, the NYRR XC races at Vanny are always at 11 / 11:30AM. Totally kills the day. Is it that they can't get permits for earlier race times?
bump...

Paging Conto... Conto, can you hear us?
Good point, re: the NYRR xc events. I've never given the start time much thought, but it definitely takes a big chunk out of the day. On the upside, the later start makes the bar across the street (formerly Doc Gilbert's, but it has a new name) far more appealing.
