NBA -- a handful of terrific players can score, shoot, rebound, pass, defend, draw fouls, and avoid fouls...but the number of guys who are good at more than one or two of those things has dropped sharply.
I know this is way off topic but this statement is way off. With the development in the AAU leagues and overseas the nba has just as much...even more talent than it ever had. The reason it may seem that the talent pool is drying out is because the media puts all the hype on the young kids skipping or leaving college early. Its not that they cant play the game its just that they havent fully developed yet and all eyes are on them while they do so. Look at tracy mcgrady, terrible his first few years in the league, now we see there is nothing he cant do on a court. Despite the championships Kobe didnt start playing a complete game until last year when he realized 81 points a night is impossible and hes going to have to pass the ball.
