He was an outstanding athlete despite a dirty competition especially kenyans like Kiprop who was caught.
Algeria has real talent in mid distances whether you like it or not.
Doping doesn’t work if you don’t have talent. It helps elite athletes train harder, recover better and plan their peak more precisely. So someone who naturally would finish 5th, winds up being Olympic champion instead. No one said Makhloufi didn’t have talent. You can’t take an average Joe, inject them with EPO and create an elite athlete.
I differ, I don't think that Katir had anything amazing in terms of physique, he was slightly above average.
Compare that to Makhloufi, the guy drops 1.44 in training and has a very strong physique.
Were you born yesterday. They either are acting on a tip OR Sedjati has a recent drug test that had suspicious results. It’s most likely the former - a whistleblower.
Probably a Kenyan wistleblower. Wanyonyi is onviously as dirty as it gets. Heckuva a jump by Arop in that race.
If anything today's race makes me think Arop is clean, assuming he passes the in comp test. I don't think he could have gained all the fitness he has gained since the Canadian trials/ early june via dope, too many in comp tests. Unless he was sanding bagging I think a doped Arop would have done better early. And I don't think he could have have done a cycle after Canadian trials and test clean at the Olympics. If he passes here, I assume he wasn't doping, it would still be in his system.
I mean all I will say is this - they aren't wasting their time and money without good reason right? Like they didn't draw his f--king name out of a hat and be like, "oh okay I guess we have to look into this guy then". Where there is smoke there is fire - it's that simple. It ALWAYS is. I guess we just sit tight and wait to see what comes out of this latest fiasco.
Do I think the French conspired on this, in a way that makes me uncomfortable, to give Gabriel Tual every possible chance of medalling? Also yes.
yeah this is pretty sus. what is actually required for something to be a valid whistleblower? "sedjati had these vials at the warm-up track they other day" or "<sedjati coach> gave athletes this drink bottle that wasn't clear after their pre-meet run"?

Of course there is a reason: disturb the athlete before his final.

Yeah good point - because this is what these guys do right? All the money and time they invest looking searching for nothing, only just to "disturb the athlete before his final". Because that's how people like spending their time (thumbs up).
Apologies if someone already posted this, from Barron’s:
French Anti-dopers Target Algerian Coach And 800m Bronze Medallist Sedjati: Investigation Sources
AFP - Agence France Presse August 10, 2024
French anti-doping officers carried out searches at the Paris Olympic Village in a probe targeting Algerian athletics coach Amar Benida and 800m bronze medallist Djamel Sedjati, sources close to the investigation said on Saturday. Confirming a report in French sports daily L'Equipe, the sources close to the case said that Benida was the focus of the investigation. Sedjati finished third in the Olympic 800m final on Saturday night at the Stade de France. "Nothing (important) happened. These are things that athletes can face," Sedjati told a press conference for the medal winners after Saturday's race. "Thank God it was only a small inconvenience. I was quickly able to get back to normal."
The Paris prosecutor's office and the French Anti-Doping Agency (AFLD) have not commented on the search, which took place on Thursday. In a statement to news network Al24News, the Algerian Olympic Committee expressed "its deep indignation at malicious attempts aimed at tarnishing the image of the Algerian runner Djamel Sedjati, victim of unjustified attacks by certain sports media."
We need Robert to also sack those who deleted my comments on fishy Fisher, hair-raising Hocker, nitpicking Nuguse, rigged Rooks and krazy Kessler, you feeling me?????
And even banned me for making such well founded subjective commentary and analyses!!!!
Mods should also ban those idiots who call me a schizophrenic, bipolar manic, manic depressive, depressive-affective, psychopath and so on and so forth for speaking like a true RF sensing genius, thank you and cheers!!!!!!!!!
Why target just Sedjati?????
Anybody can get the gendermarie to investigate Fisher right away, you just need to head straight to the police quarters and ask to launch a case!!!

The United States of America has fought for us all, for freedom and liberty.
Africans, Asians, and liberal westerners have shown only contempt for our efforts. They have cheated and lied their way through for years. Enough is enough.
USA is back and it will get much worse in 4 years on home turf. COMPLETE DOMINATION! The rest of the world goes home devastated.
Of course there is a reason: disturb the athlete before his final.

Maybe you don't understand something.
There is DEEP hatred from the french towards anything algerian and this is not new.
Call french Gendarmerie (not police) stating that you saw this athlete injecting something for example and they will come and raid the place.
Normal procedure.
Witnessing an athleting injecting something isn't suspicious test results.
Where did you get this information from (straight out of your ass ?).
Suspicious test results ? there is no such thing in what L'Equipe reported.
Even l'Equipe which is a notoriously anti-Algerian newspaper, didn't have say anything remotely close to what you just came up with.
Here a the statement from the newspaper.
In other words, l'Equipe contacted Athletics Integrity Unit, french anti-doping agency and international control agency and none of them gave any details.
Yes Rudisha was so obvious with his long limbs and huge striding gait. That's how you know he isn't doping DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Whereas for Nigel Amos with his unsightly gait and energy sapping motion and so much resistance you knew if anybody that he would be the doper compared to Rudisha!!!!!!!!
THE WAY YOU MOVE YOUR LIMBS, that's the key to EVERYTHING TO EVERY KNOWLEDGE SPHERE in high performance sport.
Arop surprised me too with his crazy 1:41:27, just unbelievable. Previous PB was only 1:42/43 right????????
And of course Bryce Hoppel, being American and being part of the American mens distance team you have to assume he is also doping so that his performances are just as stunning as Hocker's Nuguse's and Kessler's you feeling me sir?????
Bryce Hoppel is not made for anything faster than 1:43 even on supershoes and doped track surfaces. His biomechanical movement pattern has limited range of motion and cannot flow nor open up as naturally as David Rudisha, you feeling me????? That's why he must be doping.
