Mask wearing is only so highly politicized in the US. I live in SE Asia and every time I go out I see people wearing masks. Maybe 1 in 5, depending on where it is. And it's people across the demographic spectrum - elderly, kids, even teens. I doubt if these people have any idea of what woke even means and no one thinks wearing a mask or not wearing one is any kind of political statement.
The air pollution is also horrendous so that might be a factor. But, really, if someone thinks that wearing a mask gives them some extra protection against illness or air pollution what is harm? Why should anyone else care?
Based on your post, it makes sense you live in a place called Bangkok.
There is a lot of SE Asia. Singapore(not a part of China). That has pretty clean air.
Why would anyone begrudge someone else from wearing a mask? I thought the USA stood for freedom???
Not for masks. Those things are fvcking evil. They use the 5g towers and Jewish space lasers and the UV rays to infect everyone with the woke mind virus.
PS: Look it up these conspiracies are all real.

"I take staying away from illness very seriously. There are many people here from other nations and other training groups. The last thing I want is for someone to infect me and ruin my chances here," he said according to a translation."
On his rivalry with Kerr, he said the following:
"It's hard to refer to him as a rival when he's never there. He is known as the Briton who never competes. I try to participate in as many races as I can, and I want to be here to entertain. It's great to be a part of this."
The masks and vaccines were a hoax. That’s why they stopped mandatory vaccinations for work and travel and mask wearing. Covid is still out there , yes it’s real. But all that other stuff doesn’t work unless you wear N95
Well yeah, because he's way more professional than everyone else, and doesn't have a sheepish mentality.
What surprises me is the blase´attitude all of the other Olympians have towards sickness. They'd rather succumb to peer pressure, than simply popping a mask on in high risk situations.
It's the biggest race of your life - you should be doing everything within your power to make sure you can perform at 100% come race day.
